No....it means European regs need to ne updated to US regs. Two at all times in the cockpit wether it be a pilott, dispatcher, mechanic, or flight attendant occupying the empty seat when a pilot leaves the flight deck.

European regs may differ from US regs. We require 2 people in the cockpit at all times. If the pilot leaves his seat for any reason, a flight attendant or jump seater takes his place. European regs may not require the same. The security doors hard lock and they require a pad be pushed from imside, which on most airliners are located on the door. If an emergency occoured, it would be difficult for the copilot to unlock the door while managing the controls. Let's hope it wasn't crashed because the copilot was suicidal or a member of a radical group.

Oil field job cuts along with striking workers is what's driving prices up. OPEC dropped the prices so low oil rigs across the country can't compete. Once the rigs are capped and the work force is in shambles, prices are going back up.
