  1. i havent gotten all the parts in yet to do my conversion. I did alter the BHO though. I added finger grooves with my dremel. Makes it grab your finger tip back.
  2. i cant wait to get my order in. i had some non on the shelf items and its been almost 5 weeks. i heard from him the other day and it should be heading out soon. yippie!
  3. i think he is referring to an unmodified saiga trigger style by saying "cut off the trigger".
  4. thanks greeneye. the tape worked much better than when i tried a cleaning patch. i dont know why i never thought of tape. i came up with a 1 in 9".
  5. im in for one. let me know when they are ready
  6. that sounds pretty easy. thanks
  7. i would like more info on cutting the bulgy mags.
  8. is your rifle unmodified? where did you find those?
  9. some really great rifles in this thread not a great pic, but a friend wanted to see it so i decided to show it here also. its still in the works. i recently removed the excess front sight barrel cover for measurement. i have ordered, from dinzags, the FSB with threads and bayo lug with a '74 brake. i also have coming a trigger set and a trijicon front sight post. I also have a sling on the way. I am considering a trijicon rear sight. I want a better scope also and a bayonet. so far - surefire tri rail stock RAA buttstock UTG scope mount Leapers 6x39 scope Sling Thing Sl
  10. i saw a Chinese Military Leather Tab Sling on arms of america and it had leather tabs at each end. the tabs look like they would fit. i had the same trouble at first with my saiga. im glad i switched some furniture on my saiga. i had to add an adapter for a sling and it is easily twice the size of the factory ones.

    Teaser pics

i used mississippiauto for one order recently. first time. service was amazing. maybe you should consider moving to a better state. lol j/k.
  12. my saiga was made in 2006 and has a bolt hold open feature built in. There is a little grey button above my trigger guard. It was flat and smooth, but, using my dremel, i cut some grooves onto the tab for better control.
  13. Most of us know the surefires have a bolt catch feature after the last round. I dont like it currently, but maybe I am missing something. I don't like how it catches to far back from my guns bolt hold. when removing the mag to switch to the guns hold, it slams forward in a very powerful manner. if the hold is on and it is released just to change the mag it slams closed in a manner that seems to rough even for the gun. So i can either use to hands to release the mags hold or i can just let it slam. I want to know why it is there. Can anyone give me some reasons its helpful? Has anyone tried
  14. i just recently ordered a front sight block from dinzag that has the the threaded front end for muzzle attachments and a bayo lug.
  15. i put a surefire forearm last month. fits great. i think it could be used to play baseball. Once the factory arm starts moving it will come loose pretty fast. i had to use my feet to make the buttstock come off easy. I wore my shoes and placed a foot on each side on what little curvature i could hold onto. pushed down with my feet as i pulled up on the receiver with my hands. came loose pretty easy that way.
  16. i have heard bulgarian mags fit, but are they a special type of .223 mag or just any bulgy? I ordered from Dinzag this morning, hopefully it will be here friday.
  17. i had trouble with mine also. its easy now. the book was just confusing. its some choppy english in that thing.
  18. i got one of the "sling thing" swivel adptr (non Q-d). i like it. very solid. thick piece of metal. was pretty cheap too. ebay.
  19. I have been looking at ordering some of these also. Would you let me know your opinion after you get yours in?
