SaigaK, if it makes you feel any better, I have an extra hole in my receiver because I chose the Choate stock, and wanted the trigger guard to be flush with the grip. I don't think anyone will notice your booboo.

Always Measure TWICE...Cut ONCE. 'Cause it's a hellova lot easier to remove metal, than it is to put it back on. Sounds kind of cliche' no? You can't blame the experts on this board for your mistakes! What helped me is having a SAR-1 to look at before and during the conversion. If you have an AKM clone for reference, the conversion is in the bag.

Greetings. Has anyone here experienced intermittent stovepiping in their S-12? Conditions: Not always the last round. Winchester target load. Gas setting 2. Stock 22" bbl Over 300 rounds fired before, with limited stovepipes. With or without a buffer. It does not matter. Greased rails always. Possibly I aquired a bad box of ammo because this has not happened before this box. Thanx in Advance!

If you have never been to an organized machine gun shoot, you owe it to yourself to go at least once. At the last OKFAS shoot, I rented a RPD. The M60 next to me fired out of battery, injuring the operator. Next year, I will try the M60. Someone was operating a minigun. You haven't lived until you stand next to a minigun in operation! Highly recommended.

Jaffa, I put the Choate Dragunov on my S12. It's got a beefy grip and a soft pussy pad, which tames the recoil. I like the looks of the AKM & Krink stocks better, but I have the 22" bbl, and the Drag stock really helps me get a stout grip onit. Got a Kobra on order from Tantal this week. Not sure that I will need the cheek piece, but I bought one anyway. I didn't like the GAP between the rear of the T-guard and the grip, so I trimmed a little space into the grip and bolted the guard a little further back. It looks pretty f'n mean IMO. Don't know about the sight rib. I cut mine off. I have often wondered if a PSOP scope could be adjusted to accurately shoot slugs at 50 & 100 yards. Then again, I'm not sure, at what or why I would be doing shooting slugs at 100 yards
