  1. Well, I have what I refer to as a "Dream client." I tattoo for a living, and once in a while a client takes his tattoos as seriously as I do. The results can be very rewarding for both of us. A local Bison rancher wants a chest piece of 2 of his favorite Bulls, so I went to his ranch on my day off, (I work a 60 hr week so that is precuious time) and took the needed photos for the tattoo reference. Not many folks have the patience to wait, and have me visit their ranch, get to know them and their subject/Bison, and then let me be an artist. What a wonderfull rancher and client. We spent 5 hours
  2. If I go on purely looks and styling alone, I would say I think the best year for muscle cars overall, to me, would be 1970, I think the Camaro had the split bumpers in '70, or 70+1/2.Wven the Datsun 510 from then looks great in race trim. I think I'd be happy with the looks of any muscle car from 1970.
  3. An open letter to NYCs Mayor. Really, A Jewish man against guns.....Oh, I'd trust that mayor! Found on; jews for the preservation of firearms ownership. Hope the link works. http://jpfo.org/rabbi/rabbi-bloomberg-letter.htm
  4. Reminds me of the film Religilous when the Senator says " Well, there is no I.Q. test required to be a Senator." Sad and true.
  5. Yeah, Car show snobs and Gun snobs are very alike. At least a Gun snob can be enlightened with a 20 round drum dump and an ear to ear grin on his face! I take my vehicles to car shows and just piss-off the Snobs. My '54 Chevy pick-up is a real ranch truck with scars and bondo and a seat from a 1972 Oldsmobile, My Beetle has woodem bumpers and crackled paint, and my VW Bus....well, it's dented and looks like a loaf of wonderbread, all of them were painted by me in the garage. I really irritate the snobs because tons of spectators gather around my Kooky cars.....Yes, I even encourage folks to to
  6. Trying to turn our country into the U.K. Way too many petty stupid laws......even more than WE have!!!
  7. ^^ Amen! In my experience, you can commit the most horrible terrible crimes and get away wit it as long as you are not in a car while doing it. Cops are just traffic wardens anymore....they don't "patrol for crimes" that is a joke....they just talk on the phone and look for expired registrations.
  8. Not to mention, that even with ''''''Less heavy steel" used in the body, A new 2013 Camaro weighs in at either 3,860lbs. or 3,913lbs., depending on model, while a 1968 Camaro, base model V8 was 3,105 and options and engine chioce coud raise that to around 3,705 fully loaded. If the new ones are still cutting time off, I'd say they are doing well. Most of the added weight is comuters, electronics (power seats and windows etc.)
  9. The Datsun 510 is a fine car, but that's not what is in the movie. Hey, yer pickin up....check post #16 and 17
  10. Got the bindings mounted and then we got a bunch of 40 degree days and turned our snow to ice......Bummer.
  11. I have been reloading for many years. The initial cost was not too bad back then. I think with shotshells, Indy is right on the Money, so to say.... Hard to beat the cost, but reliability is where you get results. I mainly reload pistol or rifle cartriges, and when you load top quality in those, you can start to make your money back, slowly. I have loaded Thousands upon thousands of .44 mag rounds, and shoot very often. the difference in cost for me, at this point, does save me money over commercial loads. I can load Plinking rounds and hunting rounds much cheaper. Keep in mind, I bought lots
  12. This is the famed Datsun 510. My buddy has been looking for one to put his 6cyl. nissan motor w/6 speed tranny into. Very rare car apparently. They were used a lot for racing on more Local levels apparently. Great handling little cars. If you want to see great battles on the track between old Mustangs and old Minis ans Escorts and the lot, look into british vintage saloon racing. Mustangs rule the straits and the Minis rule the curves. Epic racing......many many makes of cars racing each other.
  13. We get a lot of vistors from Arizona.....you don't even want to Know the tales of great cheap cars I have been told by them.........They don't even know what Rust IS!!!!
  14. Up until just a couple of years ago, they just used sand. Idiots who love rust, complained about "Dust" on the day the road dept sweeps it all up, and now they use chemical de-icer, not salt.....yet. The rural/county roads are still just sanded....thank goodness! Besides, all we need is a bit of sand on the bad corners and we're fine. Well, the city drivers aren't always as good in the snow as us more Rural folks. I lived in the woods long enough to kick some Snow-ass!
  15. I tattoo for work, and our shop rate is $100 per hour, so we valued the truck @ $1300. We were both happy with that figure. Around here in Montana there are still Tons of older trucks around. Mostly Chevy and Ford, and not uncommon to see them from the 60's still working away. Mine actually has a Lot of rust for this climate, but still acceptable and no dents! My uncle still snow plows with the 1971 F250 that my Grandfather bought new. Seems in Montana we don't call a truck "Old" unless it is from the 50's or older.
  16. It does have the dual tanks.....super cheap fill-up, eh? Turns out I am the 3rd owner, the previous owner had it for only 3 months before his Dad gave him his '03 silverado. The right side exhaust and muffler are shot, but the other side is good to go. Powerwashed the engine so we can see where it leaks from after Valve cover gaskets are done. Ad it Does have the cargo light in back!!
  17. Ha! yeah, those mud flaps are only a couple of inches off the deck!! I didn't even notice the A/C, I was just excited to have a rig w/ good Heat!!
  18. Traded a bit of work for a 1978 Chevy 4x4.....Iknow, it doesn't sound like much, but it seems like a pretty good score. It has 93,000 miles, with all work documented with receipts back to 1981 verifying milage and all original manuals and paperwork. Some baseball sized rust holes behind wheel wells, and some surface rust otherwise, but nothing major. Typical chevy 350 motor. runs smooth, and the interior is better than you would hope for in a 35 year old daily driver, pretty darn nice. Has a topper on back to keep the dogs in, and kinda smells like old cigarrettes inside. only problems I fou
  19. Upon looking at it more....it may be an old British Ford Escort, not the early 70's Datsun......I think that's what it is. I was watching some vintage saloon racing, and BAM, there they were.
  20. Those Datsuns were known as "The poor ma's BMW" back then. They were Great racing cars and Won many races! A classic race car, that is very sought after actually.
  21. Got me 550 rounds of .223 hollow point ammo. Locally produced, and sub MOA @ 100yds in my Ladys .223 Bolt Rifle that she hunts with. Paid $300 for it, but it is top quality ammo made locally in a family business.. I just tell them what I want, and they load it up for me! Last week they delivered 750 rounds of .223 Hornady Z-max 55gr. bullets to me for an even better deal, because I provided the brass.
