  1. I went the Rodeo clown route....just need goofy clothes and make up. I kinda match my Wonderbus......now I just need 15 other clowns to ride around and do Chinese Fire drills all night!!
  2. One consolation this year is that I have a Late-season (Dec. 1st- Mid-Jan.) riverbottom Whitetail doe tag, good for up to 5 does. Good-eats!!
  3. Well, my Deer season lasted 8 minutes this year. I shot a spike Buck through the neck @ 27 paces, just 60yds from my Wall tent, near the wilderness boundery, in the wild Rocky mountains of Montana.......(aka my uncles back yard). The older I get, the shorter I want my season to be and this is about as short as it gets. The deer and I were actually walking right toward each other, in the Same track of a double track road....but I was the only one with a gun. Just squatted down, and he kept coming, slowly raised my 30-06 and shot him through the spine just in front of the shoulders. I heard th
  4. The Antelope were on a cattle ranch, so not easy access unless you know someone. Most of my deer and elk hunting is all on public land. Land ownership maps are available and very helpful for finding hunting spots.
  5. The meat is very mild. more so than most Deer meat, and very tender. One of my top 3 game meats!
  6. Yeah, normal coloring, but you are seeing more of her belly. Their backs are all tan. The white sure makes it easy to spot them.
  7. We got our Antelope this weekend. Mine was a 420yd lung shot with my 30-06, and the Lovely Lady used her .223 bolt action to make a Heart shot @ 70yds! If you have hunted Antelope in open country, you know that 70yds is insanely close! She is a natural! Last year she made a 120yd neck shot......Golly I love that Woman! We both shot with a bipod from the kneeling position.
  8. The simple ones work well for me, usually a pepper rub of some type. You can even use a box fan and plastic AC/Heater filters to dry the meat!!! Just layer meat between filters, and bunjee to fan, put fan in window, turn fan on and wait about 8 hours! BAM!
  9. Hey, nice work, I did that a few years ago for my Saiga .308. I also have a guitar case for my hunting rifle ans pistols.
  10. I've had aprox 1,000 rounds of Remington FMJ .308 bulk ammo in brass cases I've been trying to get rid of for the last 6 weeks @ 50cents per round, supposed to sell the last 400 rounds tomorrow.......we'll see if he shows up though. Seems like the mad rush to buy ammo is passed. Not that I think I am asking a "Panic-price." Just that nobody wants it, even though it's not easy to find for less than .75 per round.
  11. Gonna try the Mosin Nagant on opening day for deer, then the 30-06 if need be. Late season doe tag for up to 5 does is pistol, .44mag., or shotgun. Using the Remington 700 in .223 for Antelope in 2 weeks.
  12. Well, everything worked out just fine. No problems at all. I even got me another Mosin Nagant at my "Dream store" in Oregon. Guns, ammo, liquor, beer and wine!! Whoooop!
  13. Just had a 77yr old man shoot an intruder @ 2am a couple days ago here in Missoula, just a block or 2 from my house. Way to go Gramps!
  14. Gotta get them out to the range and show them how unprepared they really are!
  15. We are bringing my buddys 4lb Chihuahua. My big dogs are staying home w/the loveley Lady. I also thought "Oh, we shouldn't attract TOO much attention in the Wonderbus...." LOL
  16. Oh, nice....Medford is where we are going.....wouldn't ya know it.
  17. Great! I got it now. Thanks for the info. We'll keep em stowed away while driving......Don't have a trunk, as We'll be in a VW bus, but in the case in a cabinet is what I'll do.
  18. I couldn't find clear info online, but I will be driving through OR w/handguns and a Shotgun. Anyone here live there and know the legal way to transport? One site said that in a car, a handgun needs to be either "Open carry/visible" or "locked in the trunk or glove compartment", and that just doesn't sound right at all to me....I don't need to freak out any police that may pull me over by chance. Thanks for any info!! Leaving Saturday in my 40yr old VW Bus.
  19. I did this tattoo on a fella a few months ago. He is retired military and is son is currently serving. They got matching tattoos, this is how it turned out. It was a real Hoot! Those guys were Very cool to hang out with. I get to meet lots of good folks in my job.
  20. My bank tellers notify me EVERY visit, that I could be using the online banking services. I politely decline saying I don't feel comfortable with banking online. Then they tell me I can use the computer in the lobby, and how safe it is. I politely decline and point out to them that the more of us Customers who use the computer for banking, the less the bank needs Tellers like them to help people. They are promoting something that makes themselves obsolete....
  21. Saw lots of Critters today. Getting me excited for hunting this fall! We saw all these and more just today, driving the rugged outdoor hardcore....Mazda 3 hatchback...???
  22. I beat the system by owning vehicles that are incapable of going that fast......
  23. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, Decent prices, and a comfortable/non corporate atmosphere. I don't go to a gun store for a stupid jacket or shirt. Maybe just holsters, gun bags and useful gun related items. I like the smaller family business, and if I pay $25 more for a rifle, I'm happy to give it to the local guy. I feel my money makes a difference to them, but I would have ZERO loyalty to a "Corporate/chain" type of shop. Too big of an inventory on display really makes it seem like you have plenty of money and don't need mine.
