The PG nut hole is the square hole between the old FCG hole and the new one. The PG nut doesn't allways come with the pistol grips but it looks like a square nut with wings that are at an angle.

I'm looking for a bolt on lower hand guard retainer and gas tube for my x39. Please PM me if you have one or know where I might be able to get one. Thanks

I have shot thousands of rounds of Wolf MC and BB and have never had a problem. I don't see what the big deal is, but I do like the Golden Tiger because it seems to be a little cleaner.

Looks nice. If nothing else it will keep me from cutting up my fingers every time I change the gas setting. Gunfixers plug is nice and works great but after 40-50 rounds it takes a little effort to change settings and I always end up slicing up my finger.

Only if you bought the drop in FCG for Saiga's. Then you wouldn't need the disconnector spring spring either.

What other calibur Rifle would you like Saiga
thehopping1 replied to Bean.223's topic in Other AK Rifles
That would be awesome. I could only shoot it once a year with ammo prices, but it would be worth it. 6.5x55 would be pretty fun too, or even 6.5 Grendel. -

10g would be bad ass, but I'm going to have to go with 7.62x54. -

Quad Rail recommendations and install question
thehopping1 replied to PaseMkr's topic in Tech Section
Kross and Chaos (both forum business members) have excellent products. I would check them out first. I don't see how a more enclosed rail would effect performance, except maybe if there was a heat issue. Either way they are aluminum and should dissipate heat well. -

What kind of gun? The ones for S12's wont fit on x39's and 308's and vice versa. -

Thank you sir. I started out as more of a black and gray guy but I'm liking color more these days. -
Been thinking about purchasing a Saiga 7.62x39
thehopping1 replied to byram's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
No, not breaking any rules. But I would run screaming from what is in that pic. -

Sly, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Up here in PHX we hope it will not get out of control, but if it does we will be there to back you and our country up. Just keep us in the loop so we don't have to try and decipher the news, or lack there of.

Saiga 5.45 ~$320 + conversion parts ~$85 + bullet guide ~30 + mags ~$11 each = a brand new, well made dependable riffle. And you will have enough left over for a thousand round or so. That's how I would go about it.

barrel threading question
thehopping1 replied to saigafan2's topic in Conversions and Modifications for the Saiga firearms
Correct, your barrel may or may not have threads. I'm not sure why Cobra tapered the barrel, but it is no nessisary. Maybe he will be along shortly to answer. Thread sizes are available at hardware stores, but you need a TAT (thread akignment tool) to make sure the threads are congruent with the barrel. Dinzag rents out a kit that works perfect and is reasonably priced. Hope this helps. -

My advice would be to not sell the AK. I have sold a hand full of guns and wish I never had. Nowadays I will wait patiently for my funds to grow and buy more guns. Of course if you have multiple Saiga's than sell away, but you have to keep at least one(that should be a rule). You should be able to get $450-$500 for your Saiga depending on condition and round count. Is it refinished? Do you have any pics? Bullit guide, how many mags?

S&W M&P, should I do it?
thehopping1 replied to shaneman153a's topic in Other Weapons - RIFLES (non-AK based)
Or you could just convert a 5.45 Saiga for half that price. Mmmmm Saiga -
Mutilated AK
thehopping1 replied to SovietGinger's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
This has to be a joke. I'm guessing some one made a bet that they could put the biggest pile of shit on Gunbroker and get $1500 for it. I think I just threw up a little. And I bet they do end up selling it. -

It might work if they couldn't come right back across the border a couple days later. It is a step in the right direction, but hopefully just the beginning.
