  1. Sold! Here it is (bipod not included), that is the 20rd mag that is in it... The compensator... The barrel crown and threads before it was reblued... I can take more detailed pics if anybody is interested.
  2. It is 5/8"-24... Do it yourself, I did mine in a little over an hour. Dinzag can hook you up with everything you need, $30 for the die rental and $35 to have him rework your FSB and a little bit of your time is all it will cost you. I also recrowned my barrel while I was at it since it was pretty ugly, that was $20 for the tool rental
  3. So we got some of the 7.62x39 into the store finally, I checked it out and it doesn't have a Wolf headstamp like the picture (which I'm guessing is a photoshop), but it looks exactly like Wolf. I'm considering ordering some, but I'm going to give it a little longer to see if we ever get any of the .308 in...
  4. Exactly, it is close enough to work (mine was like 1/8" off), but my goal for this gun is to work anywhere from 50-300 yards and it is a hassle having to compensate or make adjustments for the windage all the time, so I want something that is truly centered. I reworked mine and it is pretty close, but it isn't perfect, it will get me by for a while. Was it offset enough to allow you to use the irons? If so, that's what I'm looking for. No, the one I have is the low mount one that sits about 1/4" above the dust cover. There are some higher ones, I THINK you can still look un
  5. Thanks everybody! All hand tools. I couldn't get the gun to sit quite right in my press, so I beat the FSB off with a deadblow hammer, I had to use a torch, had to get the thing cherry red before it finally broke loose, major PITA...
  6. It fits fine, it just isn't centered, the older style were like that apparently...
  7. That's what I have, except mine was nowhere close to being center...
  8. Good to know, thanks for the update. That's too bad that it isn't working out. I have been looking at both the DPH and the Texas Weapon System mount and I think I have decided to start saving up and just get the TWS mount and peep sight, I like the release it has so you don't have to use a screwdriver to take it down and you still can easily retain some sort of iron sight.
  9. Updated pic... Just threaded my barrel and installed a JP Tactical Compensator, also have the csspec 20rd mag now too.
  10. I got my FSB back along with the barrel threading and recrowning tools from Dinzag today, a little over an hour later I had my barrel threaded, recrowned, and got my FSB reinstalled. I was lucky (in my opinion at least) and had the .631" barrel, so I was able to thread it to 5/8"-24, which gave me a lot of standard AR-10 options. My main goal was to keep the gun from jumping off the bench, so I decided to go with a JP Tactical Compensator, almost as effective as the JP Recoil Eliminator, without the ridiculous looks. I decided to recrown my barrel also, when I got the FSB off, the end of
  11. I work at Cabela's, I'll keep an eye out and see if any of this ever comes into the store and see for sure what it is.
  12. I too like to keep things as low as possible, I think its even more important on these guns since the gas system already adds quite a bit of distance between the scope and the barrel.
  13. I had looked at that one and was wondering how it was. I really liked the look of the Texas Weapon System mount, with the quick release on the back and the peep sight option (because I hate the idea of loosing the iron sights), but the price tag on that thing is a little out of my price range by the time I add in a nice set of detachable rings. It looks like I got my BP-02 REALLY close to center, so it will work for a while hopefully.
  14. Umm, I'm assuming since you are talking about low brass, you are talking 12ga, if that's the case you should probably ask in the Saiga 12 section, not the .308...
  15. I had bought a BP-02 mount that was suppose to be centered and it was no where near close. I modified it and got it as close center as I could get it, but its still not perfect. Besides the Beryl style mounts, is there any side mount options that are truly centered? I like the side mount since I have to pull the scope off to get it to fit in my safe which and its a lot easier to just pull the mount. I think I'm going to have to end up going with a Beryl style, but I just wanted to explore my options before I drop anymore money. Thanks.
  16. Seriously, I don't think anybody in this thread really cares to hear your opinion AGAIN. Yes it is expensive, but not everybody can legally thread the barrel, or they might not want to permanently alter the barrel, or they don't want to attempt to thread the barrel themselves or spend a bunch of money having a gunsmith do it. Clearly this product isn't made for you, but for one reason or another, there are others that are interested in it, so why don't you stop cluttering up the thread since you clearly have no interest in the product.
  17. I hasd to Dremel my Choate as well. But I think it was worth it. X3 on the Choate, it wasn't that bad, I think I only spent about 15min messing around with it...
