  1. They do not. Here is a thread with the x-rays of different magazines: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/37889-x-rays-of-saiga-12-magazines/page__p__339269__hl__distal__fromsearch__1#entry339269
  2. DO NOT BLASPHEME! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rL1VPpLquTw
  3. Cameron that looks great. Will you also sell just the tri-rail for the 8" as well? I also noticed the magazine in the well. You know how much Saiga lovers love to part with their money for quality products. haha
  4. Remington 870 as well but would love a Beretta A400.
  5. There's no "paperwork" that will allow you to convert a new gun to full auto. Owning the part and an AK would constitute a "constructive possession" felony. It is essentially possessing an illegal machine gun, albeit disassembled. True, but you can legally own books telling you how to do it. It is interesting that owning books on how to convert semis to autos is protected speech (which makes sense) but it doesn't make sense that merely owning the parts is illegal (the whole constructive intent argument). Silly but the law.
  6. I think a modulation of this type of fungus was the basis for an episode of the X-Files. The fungus would grow inside the person and then burst out of their neck killing them and infecting anyone around them. Gross and creepy!
  7. Just out of curiosity, does the buyer still get the factory 5 rounder along with the AGP?
  8. You're welcome. I am glad it worked out!
  9. I'm in a similar boat. I think if I were to get a different gauge Saiga it would be a .410. Cobra makes a lot of good points about it. BTW, when you suppress a .45-70 could it be a lever action? That would be so awesome.
  10. I can't post a link because they're not forum sponsors but Google "Keep Shooting" and they are the ones that have the $11 5 round magazines. They generally have a good reputation on this board but do not count towards 922r compliance as they are made in Taiwan.
  11. Yeah this thread is truly pointless with those who denigrate others and accuse them of not thinking or being stupid. I had a well thought out response to this thread like 7 pages ago but mostly it has been arguing and arguing over the internet, while I have been guilty in the past, is pretty stupid as it degrades into insults and accusations of stupidity. With that, here is my exit from this thread picture, which is surprisingly appropriate for this thread:
  12. I'm not going to take much time to reply because I don't think it will get us anywhere. However, I do want to note that I think it is a bit disingenuous to say that a $14k tax isn't unreasonable and then use a gun at $10k to justify it. Select fire weapons need not be that expensive if the registry were to be reopened. A $400 auto sear with a $14k tax is silly. Oh and I don't care if people own zip guns, or nunchucks, etc. Crimes should have victims. Merely owning something can in no way be considered a crime. These crimes of possession are ridiculous and SBRs and SBSs actually make
  13. Wow, this thread continues to go into the bucket! I don't feel like arguing but I want to put a little perspective on the NFA for all those who think that it is reasonable. The tax for SBS, SBR, DD, FA and silencers is $200. In 1934 (I don't know where 1938 came from but the NFA dates to 1934) $200 would've been about 10 ounces of gold (before FDR revalued it to $35). So at $1,433.80 an ounce the tax in gold today would be $14,338. The whole point to the NFA was the not "outlaw" anything but to make them prohibitively expensive. Who was going to pay $200 to cut back their $8 double barre
  14. no its the value of your money that has gone down. In 2004 Schultz paid $299 for a Saiga; the price of gold (upper) was $460 Today the price of gold is $1400; that means the price of Saiga should be $883. If you do the same thing but use the price of oil, a Saiga should cost $600 I like this line of reasoning. +1
  15. Was that a personal email or a bulk email? I checked my spam folder but didn't see anything in there so was just wondering. ETA: Did he happen to mention an ETA? (Did you like how I used ETA in two possible ways? ) Here's the email: " info@mdarms.com to meshow details 10:17 AM (38 minutes ago) Eric, They will be available in multipe capacities. 20, 16, 12, and 8. We will have them released later thisyear. Thanks for your interest, MIkeD - Show quoted text -" P.S. I hope it's ok to post this email in the forum Thanks!

  17. I actually bought my x39 at Gilbert's when I was in town for Thanksgiving last fall. I am glad I did (got the last one he had) and it was $340+tax. They're good people to deal with. Centerfire Systems over in Versailles, KY has (or had, I haven't checked in a few days) .308 for $450.
  18. It did look really awesome. What happened to Kross? I just noticed that their vendor forum was gone and a quick Google search didn't bring up anything.
  19. That actually isn't that bad. Usually, unless they're part of a manufacturer mag dump, they retail for $42 so $35 isn't that shabby considering. That gas block is pretty sweet but I'd be nervous about losing the ability to adjust for different loads. Also, is the sight height the same as the bead or would a new rear sight be required?
  20. I have not checked them all yet, but I will post if some are 2 rounders. The block is removable. Doug Thank you Doug, I appreciate it!
  21. I'd potentially be interested in one of the 5 blocked to 2 mags. Is that insert removable?
  22. Sounds like you've gotten some great advice on here this evening and I think you made the right decision in waiting.
  23. Though I love the Saiga 12 you may want to consider other options for your wife. You said that she would get training but my experience with wives (well, wife, singular) is that it isn't so much if she can handle it but if she wants to handle it. I.e. if a spouse/S.O. is dedicated to learning to use a firearm, training to use an S12 would be doable. However, if she wants something that she go out once with to get a feel for it and then puts it under the bed, more easily handled shotguns may work better. For example, the Beretta Tx4 uses the same gas system as the Xtrema (or perhaps A400
