  1. Fast shipping, everything as advertised. Simple transactions.
  2. I think a 12 gauge upper would still be pretty cool.
  3. Another plus: They look like they might stick to the side of the gun safes now. Who needs velcro?
  4. Just got my charging handle back! It's a beauty. Included a picture of my Russian pile. Originally decided to refinish the Saiga 12 pieces to match. Then had enough left over to do a nice job on the 5.45 as well. Then had enough to do a half assed job on the half assed Nagant. Will get better pictures when I find my camera and get to the range some day.
  5. I'm 922r compliant with US mags, but still need an extra part with the foreign mags. But since a pistol grip is sporting now, and I don't have a folding stock... And the only foreign mags I have are 5 rounders.. So my gun is sporting with the 5 rounders in, and 922r does not apply. But with the 10 round mags in, 922r does apply, but since they are US made, I'm still following the law. Oh man, I'm so confused.
  6. I actually prefer the 5 round mags, they feel more balanced with the dimensions of the gun.
  7. Hmm, I didn't consider 922r being an issue, I'm not sure the number of US parts actually. I just checked, and none of them are marked. The trigger is a double hook and the hand guards and butt stock are slightly different than other AK's I've seen. Looking it up, It seems a lot of these rifles were Pre-922r, so I don't know if it even applies? Damn, this might be more trouble than it's worth already.
  8. I have a Polytech AKS-7.62 that has been a safe queen most of it's life. I don't have any plans of doing any permanent mods to it because I know it's an uncommon beast and don't want to lose resale value. BUT. I was thinking of changing out the muzzle brake and I realized it had been welded on. The push pin functions so I figure the spot welds are the only thing holding it on. I was thinking of just putting on a simple slant brake. I also just realized the cleaning rod is blocked in place on the front sight block, but I never use it so that's OK. I've included a picture and basically
  9. Got 5 when they were 5$ Wish I would have bought 10 at that price! They were definitely worth 15$ shipped, but less than 7$ shipped is an outright steal! For what it's worth, I didn't need to file any of mine.
  10. Never had a problem from the tapco. Price is about the same as surplus anymore!
  11. 33$ Shipped for 5 mags. I can swing that.
  12. Getting out of the 357 game: Ruger New Vaquero, 357 magnum, less than 50 rounds through it. Awesome finish on it (see pictures). Rifling is spotless, nice and shiny on the inside (Pictures) Includes a Ruger soft case. Paid 515$ for it all earlier this year. Roughly 240 Berrys Preferred Plated Bullets. 158 gr flat points, 38 cal. Was another 30$. RCBS 3 piece Carbide Dies for 357. Paid 45$ I set up to reload 357 hoping to get into it, but got into 45 colt instead. I made roughly 10 on the press just to check loads. So the dies are near new. Asking 450 for the lot, would
  13. What color/brand was it that you used though? Thanks for the info!
