  1. Hi Cobra- I say just make sure you read ALL THE REGS if you decide to get a FFL, I have heard horror stories about screwed up inspections being done at any and all hours un announced,RUDE treatment, and a general 'the atf is on your butt like a pimple and a hemmoroid. they can make your life miserable,at least out here in the west.. Just my 2 cents, would not want anything to happen to you,go wrong, etc.
  2. Hi Guys and Gals- I know this has probably been asked before but i have looked around and did not see the threads. 1. WHEN did the S12's (and S20's) come with BHO's-what year? 2. Is the Tapco G2 set a simple swap out on a conversion to pg or do you need different pivot pins, spacers, etc?? I think the double hooks are more reliable config(?) 3. IF you want to grind the selector for use as a manual BHO-for emptychamber at the range- can you use a std AK selector if you decide you do not want it,need it, of effed up the modification? Should you use a std AK selector and save the origin

Gee,almost looks like what I carry on a road trip!----- Nice bag contents!
  4. Consider a trade on a S20 or a used S12 for a MAK90 I have had since '94--nice and clean!
  5. Hi guys ,I would like to trade my MAK 90 that I have owned since '94 for a S12 or maybe an S20. home conversion is fine or stock plus a couple extras,if interested please respond or pm me and see what we can do... Basically 2 ways I CAN have it in Calif-Either theGB is pressed off,the port is tapped and a set screw installed,GB pressed back on t omake it a 'single shot' oR a 5 round mag is installed and the mag release is tac welded or some how made 'fixed. I know i would have to remove the cover and top load it but at least i would have one! I could deneuter it after i move from this crap pl
  6. Thanks again guys, I am making a list of all this to go through later!
  7. Tried FBMG in Utah-the guys that make the 20 rounders for the S308?? www.fbmginc.com
  8. Hi guys and gals- I have a few questions and I need opinions, feeback, input on whether they are worth it or not--- 1-HK sights on a S12-y/n? 2-Anyone put ghostring sights on? if so,what brand, etc and good? y/n 2a-otherwise can you add a FSB to the barrel liek that shown on the Saiga12.com products pic? Add sights to existing rail/fact sight rib?? 3-Browning or Polychoke adj choke, worth it or not?, which is better? Install issues?? can you cut a barrel down to under 18",mount the adj choke and weld to meet legal length? 4-is there a good red dot sight available that will last and not to
  9. Hey- I believe it was mentioned already but the 2 easiest things to do to make it 'PRK' legal are to either remove the gasblock and /tap the port hole in the block and insert a set screw thereby blocking the gas and the action cycling-turning it into a 'pump action' shottie and this way it is still fairly easy to change back to normal when possible, aside from pressing the GB on/off. The other way would be to tap the hole up by the piston area-if possible- and insert a set screw ans secure it with red or green(hardest-WILL need heat to loosen) loctite.this effectively makes it a 'single shot/
  10. That stock wouldn't happen to be purely for left-handers, would it? I'm right handed, so it might be a little funky for me. I wouldn't mind having a 308, but I've heard the trigger on them is a little weird in comparison with the other saigas. PS - might want to check your camera lens, there's some weird blotches in the pic Hi hpp- The stock is ambidextrous right now but I may have messed up when I ordered it from BRG3 because I forgot to ask for some relief for the thumb pad' area of the hand so it is a bit funky on the grab, but I can shoot itr fine. I was probably going to
  11. Man, that is a beautiful gun, but for some strange reason, I feel like having that beautiful wood on on an AK type receiver is like dressing up a pig in silk. that may be but it sure seems to act as a camo job when I go to the range since it does not 'offend the officials and ant anti's out there snooping around'. Also I am left handed so could not really use the original stock anyway and thought the original wood did not 'fit my look' anyway!--Glad you like it though!!- I sure do get tired of explaining that this rifle is NOT an AW due to its designs and features such as trigger grou
  12. Hi BRG3- thought I would post a couple pics of my rifle that you did the wood on in walnut.Still looks great but I wish I had done a better job on the finishing-hey,my first attempt! Saw a post on a walnut set and saw it said-'bad pic'- so I do not know if mine will help ,if it was my set in the pic.---
  13. What model in 7.62 are you looking for?? I have a 308s with some BRG3 wood, factory scope, 2 8 rd mags, that I may need to put up for sale this week pending going thru the bill pile.. I am in SoCal. Here is a pic...
  14. Oh boy kysoldier-you should not have posted your reply.....here is a question! WHY did the Chinese have to do a different rivet pattern on their rifles, use only 2 rivets on the mag catch/trigger guard and decide right off the bat to use a double hook trigger??? huh, huh????? why? why?------ You asked for it!!!!
  15. Hey Indy,i- I am in need of one of the MAK 90 sets .Can you please pm me,email me or call me,I will pm you and give you my cell #....
  16. I know this needs to be in the WTS/WTT area but until I get a hold of my bills and $$ I cannot do a subscription/contribution... I have a MAK90 that I have owned since 1994 and I am thinking of trading it off for another typ of AK-amd 65,223,545,etc. I have found out that 'off list' AK 's can be sold and are being sold in California as long as there is no PG or FH. I figure I may as well try to trade/get one and then put that FUGLY grip thing on it,then I can go shoot it with less worry than currently. Please pm and or email me if interested.... THANKS!
  17. hi Guys,MadMaxx-I used to have a armorcast 'Cannon of Khorne' Everything stayed out of its range and 'arc of influence'! Was great to play. I had a Warhound titan also... I forgot to respond to zakmathews--Sorry man!- I definitely cannot do it in 410 because even though it is a CALIBER and not a GAUGE,the fact that it uses shotgun shells or 45lc ,it is considered a sawed off shotgun(in Calif)/aow/etc just like the 12 gauge. I am thinking due to the design a Bolter style would be actually easier to build...... I am also pondering a .50 cal shell made by Leitner Wise. It is like .50c
  18. Hell with that- I like my project better!! I think I could build mine for less than that!
  19. Hey Guys-back after a week.....April is NOT being nice to me..... Any way-ScoutJoe- I like the gyrojet idea-my dad used to have either a pistol or at least about 15 rounds of the stuff-wish I had one as a sample!! MadMaxx-glad you like the idea! SuA-wh40k is pretty cool- I have some armys -World Eaters Khorne Berserkers, Thousand Sons Marines, and My 1st Army- Sisters of Battle-like my Avatar-Just something about Gothic Chicks in Armor with big guns-and I mean the type that go 'BOOM'!- AND BTW- Where did you get those bolter pics-models?,1 to 1 props? I would like to know! maybe
  20. OUCH!!!-Man I bet connies cinnamon ring was burning when she got this letter- I have copied this and have to send it to a couple buddies who are essentially getting divorces at the moment.Sure they will get a hoot out of it!! thanks Gunhustler!
  21. Hey SuA- you must be a current or past WH40K player to know or suggest a Bolter! Yes a bolter would be neat! Always thought a gyrojet would be neat BUT those years are gone! I do not know why but I just like 'short stubby guns with big booms'! Hey BRG3-I am not put off by your comments and stuff, that is why I posted it here, I thought some of you guys who have C3 items or exerience would be able to shed some light. I am also considering the new caliber like the .450 bushmaster,or some other crazy caliber from one of the custom caliber guys-like that 50 cal stubby that you can co
  22. Nice find by your girl! ANd also like the other stuff you guys have told of finding. I have found some decent jewels at the swap meets here, like a KISS fanclub kit in the original envelope that I got for a buck and sold for 200, an old original TI ,computer' with all the accesories and case-bought for $2-sold for $150,etc, but naver do find any guns at garage sales, swap meets for obvious reasons-live in PRK. I do get calls from my dad who does not really know about firearms,he calls about 'this box of ammo, these hicap mags, etc, for cheap but he does not buy them-I told him if he thinks t
  23. I really appreciate the feedback guys! I know this would not be a 'practical' firearm but I am sure we all have projects in our heads and think-hmmmm,could it be done? I figure this thing would be about as useable as any other AOW or really short SBS-ala 1 of tromixs' supershorties or the FNFAL 'pistol' I saw- what a muzzle blast on that and I think it was FA!!!! Well if I am looking at it being a AOW due to the bore size I may as well go smoothbore for 'flexibility'. Like I said, right now it is a study exercise, have to look for OTS parts ,mag to modify, operating system, how to d
