  1. Heck, way laws are, cause people weren't smart enough to make own choices, had to have "Nanny State" be their momma, gotta really go out of your way to get second hand smoke. Actually gotta go look for it. So you got to be sarcastic. Know those who are ignorant, who jog by a four lane highway during rush hour. Now those idiots are breathing in some nasty stuff. Reason I jog at off hours, don't need no law banning cars.
  2. Of course, family has been in the business of blowing stuff up, Rock quarry and pasture stumps. Got own recipe (100+ year old), that can buy ALL components in local hardware or grocery store. (Fuse or electronic ignite) Heck, dynamite was legal to buy at hardware store in mid 70's. Always been different types of compounds/formulas to get a boom. Stupidity has always been around, just multiplied with instant video for world to see. Cousin and I got serious ass wooping when a bolt bomb went through my uncles car door in driveway. We were 8 and 9. That's just a couple bolts/nut and firecracker po
  3. Yes the 660cc 3 cylinder engine. Japan taxes the crud out of any vehicle after the 15 year mark. Many incentives to purchase new. Most have under 40,000 miles. Regular maintenance these regularly go 150,000+. Have an 03 Mitzi with only 4,200 miles. Doing it up after brother's 01 Suzuki dump bed. Diahatsu is the Toyota, Suzuki makes the Mazda. Many components are shared between manufactures
  4. Started out about a year ago to replace a "Mule" for doing chores and running around property. 1/3 to 1/2 the price with creature comfort of heat, ac was a bonus. Found a couple older pre 99" Carb units here and there, (cabs are smaller, no AC, very used up). State Park had gotten a couple post 98's for maintenance, so one thing led to another and we imported 6 in a container as a group (family/friends) buy There are dealers here and there through out US. Couple who do serious mods and parts are easily obtained. When got them in, basic service, (good wholesale buyer/importer) were ready to go
  5. Better pics. These were before final detailing of white items bolts/tags/etc. Supervisor kept falling a sleep.
  6. 2001 Suzuki DA62T, Deck Van is 96 Diahatsu, remotored to fuel injection. Both have 660cc 3 cylinder. Carb units had around 500cc. Street tires, upto 70mph, UTV 45 is fast enough. 7 states allow to be tagged for highway (Non Federal)use.
  7. Pickups have hi/lo 4x4, vans/deck vans hi only. hydraulic dump bed is our next project for my brother.
  8. Base Units run between $6,500 to $8,000 for low mileage/fuel injected. Some upto $10,000 year/mileage) Smaller/older carb units run less. All are 4x4. Heat, mine have AC. I don't like to get hot. About all options are available. Auto, most are 5 speed. Imported at 25mph, yet speed reducer is easily disabled by end user. Most dealers would charge around $10,000 or more for one like this. Did a lift, tires, bed liner, and camo wrap on this one. The deck van pictured are hard to come by. Seen a few go for over $15,000 did up like the one we did.
  9. Son and I are taking stock mini trucks and making them more useful for our area.
  10. Appreciate it, just got in from work, Might sail one with Capt. Morgan and hit the rack.
  11. Father has a "10 Frontier 4x4 Crew Cab, around 50,000 miles. Been good vehicle maintenance wise, yet lower doors, sides, and tailgate got rust issues already.(inside out, under paint) Live in Kansas, so rust, really not normally an issue with newer vehicles. He bought new in "11, great deal on hold over pricing, Nissan dealer gave offer of cash or fix, basically replace all rusting panels and repaint. Be doors, rear, tailgate and side bed panels. Front fenders, cab and hood would be only original metal panels left. Haven't heard what option he is taking. He really likes the vehicle for no mech
  12. Kansas has always had open carry, some Anti-gun in Democratic leaning districts, tried to use this reason against CC passage years ago. Said anyone who wanted to defend themselves, didn't need to hide it. Yet were made to be made out as jerks, when numerous examples of their officers harassing those practicing this option. In my rural area, no one even raises an eyebrow. See it more and more in larger metro areas lately, especially with those traveling on 2 wheels, pedal or motor.
  13. Local gun stores busy, went by Cabelas (over priced on regular basis). no real panic buying seen. Just Saturdays have been busy for last few months, except for .22, all ammo well stocked and reasonable retail priced. Firearms displays full. Noticed many spending Christmas bonus on guns and ammo, Black Friday set record. Cased ammo from my regular suppliers still on hand with no price increases. Do have a sister-n-law wanting to purchase her 1st pistol for concealed carry. Not a novice, just decided it was time to have a regular carry gun for her jogging. More due to spike in her area of aggres
  14. With the cell phones, this is become a lost tech. Phone systems, can and will go down. Long as have power, these work. Been teaching grand kids on how to work them. 2 of our base stations are 40+ years old. Line of sight, of course, yet can send/receive 45 miles. Use to work for a national/world company in late 80's. At night, if on open company channel, skip, could get you talking with persons thousands of miles away. In northern Wyoming, visiting with company supply tugs in gulf of Mexico.
  15. Turks 1st strikes into Syria was against US allied Kurds/western volunteers (Brits, American, etc). Obama administration was silent about that.
  16. Homeland, went to web site, models, looks and specs are identical (Except Decal) to my Patriot Safe bought in 2000. Be the 60x40x27 Level VII model, Patriot disappeared earlier this year. California company also. Great safe, insurance co. gave max. discount on itemized weapons stored. Exceeds specs for their purposes.
  17. Addicted, sad no more, again and again. Sig Sauer P220 Elite 10mm DA/SA. and 10 extra mags.
  18. Drug test, been doing 33 years. Knew to raise hand or later, line of work chosen it was required. Volunteered, and life choice, could have taken a different route. What ticks me is the 3 back ground checks. 1 every 2, 1 every 4, 1 every 5 years respectively. I pay for 5 year, yet is a joke after initial, since numerous reasons automatic get creds revoked. This is a feel good, money making scam. State, private employer, and myself shell out. 1st 2 could be dropped, Yet wont let certification lapse, too much out of my pocket if change my mind, later.
  19. Lot fancier, yet we have used these on farm/ranch since I was a kid to burn stubble fields and brush. Most farm supply stores have them. Depending on tank pressure setting, can shoot a long ways. 40gal tank is about as much as you want to lug around.
  20. Fuel injected models are a great leap, compared to the carb.
  21. Got one about identical to that with a dump bed for fence/chore work.
  22. Guy over in Lawrence has a couple of the pickups. Couple outfits over by KC. Guy I bought base vehicle from had a pro shop in Ft Worth do the wrap.
  23. Daihatsu, 94 deck van, a Toyota company. Japan mini truck. Rest of the world, and 7 US states street legal, not in mine, yet I use it on county roads and around property. Rigged under suspension like a utv, has a 660cc motor, 5speed tran, AC/Heat. Like that at my age. lol. Replace/addition to Kawasaki mule, yet top speed of 70 and all modern features of a regular vehicle. Did a vehicle wrap.
  24. Into 4x4's, 1st was older cj's, then 50's/60's, then military deuces, now building/modifying small. Fabricating bush guard/bumpers with receiver hitch for front and back.
