    Uh Oh...

maybe, maybe not. If they aminsty register most existing saigas, there will be a lot for sale and not so meny NFA weapon buyers. Who have to pay $2-400 tax and wait 4 months for a saiga to transter as a DD through a C3/DD dealer. You may make money on it later but only if they cant import them anymore. A DD importer can probably still import new saigas and you can buy new ones on form3 from C3/DD dealers. Not all states allow DD either, check your state. Most C3 dealers wont do DD transfers because they are only allowed like 2 per year, you'll need a DD dealer to do the transfer.

    Uh Oh...

It wont matter if its a destructive device like the USAS, street sweeper, & striker 12. It'll be a DD even if its made here because its not exempt (larger than .50 dia barrel) for sporting purposes like other shotguns. You can run out an buy more if you want but you may end up paying $200ea for the tax stamps to keep them. Keep in mind if you sell out of state later its a $400 two tax stamp transfer.
  4. I dident buy my guns from a third party, my guns were bought from tromix with 18in conversion, then my 8in was sent back to tromix for SBS conversion, pictures are in the NFA section. The russian mags hold 9 rounds, you would know that if you owned one. You just cant insert it on a closed bolt with more than 8. Im a 26 year old non commissioned officer, I carry guns for a living, and know that huge drum in the gun isent going to be pleasant to carry arround all day. You can carry at least 4 mags for the space one drum takes up on your gear also.
  5. my guns are tromix guns and run fine with the russian 9rd mags I have. The drums are the problem. Im not going to dick arround with them and shoot god knows how much ammo through it until each drum runs. The same went with the AGP mags that dont work and need tuning. That wastes a lot of ammo and puts unnecessary wear on the gun. It should work right out of the box, I dont want to shoot every mag I buy multipul times just to make sure it works. I probably saved more money buying russian mags that work.
  6. I never liked the MD drums anyway. It's in the way of the side folding stocks, you can't fold it. They add weight to the gun. The drum is in the way of your arm, you have to reach arround it. They are impossible to carry, both in a slung gun and as an extra mag. They aren't even that reliable, I had a lot of falures where the bolt gets stuck on the top round in the mag and dosent completely feed with both the wraithmaker and MD20 drums. I sold both of them because they are garbage. If someone makes a smaller diameter drum that spirals the ammo somehow and still holds 20+ I may check it ou
  7. There arent any gun ban bills in the works. Some dipshit wants to re-enstate the 94 AW ban because of the shooting in arazona, it'll never pass and would be a long way off. Buy if you really want it. You dont need to panic buy until a bill is introduced and passed by the house then its off to the senate, then the president.
  8. How many ports? My 19" and 18" guns all had 4 @ .093". I am thinking of going ~11 - 11 1/2". I just bought a new S12 to SBS. Whatever size ports it has right now is what it will get more of. I'm just looking to cut down on gas block debris. I may start with 5 or 6 at factory size. Stuck? We can always go less than 10" and move the block back 4 gas ports, Factory size was .073 You wont fit more than 4 gas ports without making the hole in the block bigger. I hope you have a lathe & drill press or can get on a waiting list. That work will add $500 to the price if you cant do i
  9. 2 & 3/4 TAP 8 pellot (now superformance) because its 1600FPS. 3in mag Vitalshok Flight control because thats 12 pellot 1350fps I think the vitalshok flight control patterns better out of longer barrels, short ones theres no diff. FC is copper plated and buffered the TAP is not. The tap/superformance will be a lot faster & less recoil. Its give and take.
  10. Springs wear out from thousands of compressions not from simply being compressed. The spring will "set" some but it'll do that regardless. A new hammer or mag spring woulden't cost that much anyway. I see it this way, there is a round in the chamber because I may not wake up until the bad guy is in the same room.
  11. The locking lug could have broken the cast metal trunnion like he said under normal operation. I'll bet case head seperation/broken case. They should have fired proof loads at the factory that would find weak metal.
  12. Im running a 11.5in barrel with .082 dia gas ports drilled on an angle backwards. The gun cycles with all high brass, including 8 pellot tap and birdshot. It wont run the cheapie low brass stuff but I expected that and dident care. You could drill the gas ports larger but I woulden't want huge ass gas ports. If it dosent run your stuck with it and no replacement barrels, keep that in mind.
  13. its always the factory mags, with the exception of magpul Pmags. 8rd (actually hold 9) russian mags are 138.35 new right now +ship if you can find them. lol I bought a bunch back when they cost 100.00
  14. dude I cant spell for shit but i'll say it anyway.... spell check, use it. If the bolt is closing on the empty shell case, you are probably under gassed and need to unscrew the gas regulator. You need to describe in detail the type of jam for people to help you.
  15. did you do a trust? If not you cant take it anywhere without her. kind of sucks if you want to use it. glocks are drop proof, the gun cant fire unless something pulls the little safety on the trigger and the trigger itself. Just dont grab for the gun if you drop it, let it fall, then pick it up.
  16. I refinished it in moly resin. Im adding a new pic cause it looks like my thumb is missing lol I think the chaos side rails could be closer together, if you try the CNC warrior handguard, its a lot thinner. This would make that gap between the side rails and the reciever/trunnion disappear. ie my 11.5
  17. Tell chaos you want these, maybe he'll run them. The full size rails are $70.00 a good price. You dont need to precision mill the bottom of the rail like me, you could just mill the whole bottom out. the rear plate is installed backwards in this photo, the screw has a hole countersunk the head will be below the surface. I dident notice until after the pics. you can still adjust the gas regulator. plenty of real estate
  18. here they have a case of 250rds federal game load 6, 7&1/2, and 8 birdshot for 46.00 at walmart thats $.0.18 per round. if you want to continue doing this... cheaper than the value pack. I still think its a waste of time, it dosent give you any realistic practice verses the full power slugs. you may as well shoot birdshot.
  19. I'd say hornady because everything hornady makes seems to be the best these days but you need a rifled barrel for their slugs. The guns named a SHOT gun for a reason. IMHO you should just take a rifle if your going to run slugs.
  20. you could have gone to walmart and picked up a box of winchester 15rds 2&3/4in 1oz slugs for $8.00 thats like $0.53
  21. I loaded some nasty glass buckshot a long time ago, they were a bottle of glass balls I picked up somewhere. The stuff is really light so its close range only. However I keep my mags full of federal flight control and hornady TAP. The TAP/light mag buckshot is no more BTW they renamed it all superformance. That means the price just went up.
  22. no attachment just the thread protector. Im not a fan of the breaching muzzle breaks, we never used them. Your paying a lot more just to have the 8in conversion so why add 2+ inches in muzzle break when you can cut the barrel off yourself at 11.5in.
  23. The ATF stopped registering machineguns in 86, there is no legal way to bring machine guns back for an individual. You can bring back war trophys but there is a paperwork process. I forget who has to sign off I think the LT colonel. We brought back a 14.5mm ZPU1 antiaircraft gun complete. It was given to the sergeant major as a gift by village elders. The reciever had to be demilled though. The Barrel was brand new still packed with grease. I had to clean it, I put together a shitload of m16 cleaning rods and rammed rags through it.
  24. its a combat weapon AK47 variant and made to be abused. Now that your first scratch is out of the way, you can use it the way it was intended to be used. If it really bothers you that much respray it with moly resin. Nothing stays new forever. The russian milled recievers were date stamped 1965 & 1966 I shot them including the AMD65/GP30. They still run. They probably started off in some russian soldiers hands. If these guns could talk they'd some storys.
  25. I want the rail almost to the muzzle so I'll have more handguard on the 8in. Id rather cut one down. i'll put a hand stop on the end. The kross rails are all out of stock, there arent any pictures of the XR that i can find, and i never got an email back from them, so fuckum. They obviously dont want my money bad enough.
