The number of times lately I have had to explain the difference between a modern semi and a "full-auto ghost gun assault weapon" has been astonishing. The fact several of the people I have had to do it to that were fellow gun owners is the most insane part to me. People with a Glock or Sig handgun spouting off how we don't need these semi-auto rifles capable of 600 rounds a minute.......

It's not a shithole because of the place it's the people. A continent with that much gold, diamond, oil and coal should be set. They just never made it past the point of tribsl fighting to understand if they actually worked towards a somewhat unified status they could all be first world by this point -
If the original is hard to manipulate and you don't want to self adjust by bending, you could always buy a new one. There is always an issue of possible safety ramifications when swapping safeties. It is a known issue on 308 Saiga rifles that the stock safety and replacements are different lengths and the stock will not reach an upgraded (converted) trigger group. Make sure if you go this route there is no issues of it not fully seating on the trigger or anything looking unsafe. Maybe have it brought to a knowledgeable friend or gunsmith.

Argument: Over. M4>AK!
VR762Shooter replied to XD45's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
That's just the thing, though. It isn't about the AR/AK and variants, it is 5.56 AR vs 7.62x39 AK. The comparison only shows one of each's variants and doesn't correctly correlate to an answer. You can't say you'd rather be shot by an AK because its round is not going to kill you as bad, when an AK in the variant that includes the round you specifically don't want to be killed by exists pretty prominently. If that article were to be submitted in a debate class it would fail on a lot of aspects. The writer has no idea wtf he is talking about, which is a lot to do with people not really knowing -

Aside from ammo choices they also have to factor in barrel length, spin, powder load. I mean, to say any one thing is better than another is never going to be correct. Part of the reason I never get into the AK/AR debate. I like my AKs. I know they are systematically less accurate than an AR will ever be. The bolt carrier alone does not lead to a good follow up shot. However, I also own an AR. I have a 16". I know that my barrel is statistically less effective with quality ammo than a 20". I know the design of the bullets was intended to create fragmentation at high speed which is not going to -

OK. So for verification I had to go through and see. It was a joke which spread on this girls FB page. I was glad to find it to be a joke rather than another version of Ryan Reilly coming into the world https://www.facebook.com/noelomfjs/posts/384643008412974 -
And here I am still just waiting to hear about his 30k round Saiga that happens to be at his dads house..........

Well depending on the state they may or may not have a problem with it but if the felon is not in possession of the firearm at the time they really don't have a case. Some states would have secure storage laws and if by chance it was out an accessible, then that may be of issue but they aren't lying on the form unless they are straw purchasing for the felon and in that case they will receive said punishment as is mandatory based on that crime -

There's something about this thread that now smells of 30k round Saigas. Cool shirt BTW Juggs -
This one actually has me a little shaken. Not because I really care about how the left thinks about guns and the NRA and all that crap, but based off the multitude of death threats made by liberals towards gun owners that I have read not just on Facebook but in many articles comment sections. Keep your eyes open gentleman. I fear we're not far from the next loony lib going renegade to prove the danger, specifically towards gun owners

Never said he was. Read any article posted about this until about 3 hours ago and all the liberal left did was preach of how it was clearly 3 white Christain male domestic terrorists. Just pointing out as much as people dislike racism to islam or whatever group, they do it to the majority with impunity

AK Builders Quiz.

Long center rivet? I just assumed it wasn't installed yet, seeing as that's one of the last rivets to get installed. I believe it is what he was going for but I may be wrong. As I don't know how the final build went it may or may not have been installed -

Wonder how the hammer will operate with it missing? Or until the whole receiver starts bowing out -
Just to clarify, and I do believe deadly force was appropriate just maybe not in so much quantity once he was down, THOSE OFFICERS did not shoot him only THAT ONE that is being charged with murder. If they were in so much fear of their lives more than one would have likely fired. That is what will bring this guy down on charges. Not that he used deadly force but the number of shots and lack of support from other officers shows his willingness to fire on the assailant
