Yea, I was wondering if they were using Ace stocks or their own?
-
I wonder what I have then? My serial number has a 93 prefix, it has 2 gas settings and is a 3" magnum gun. No BHO either. The only thing that is weird about mine is the serial number prefix is 93 but the import stamp 01. Any ideas as to what gen mine is?

FAAAAAAHHHHK! when did the lil 41o double in price???
im_n2_vws replied to saltydecimator's topic in Saiga .410
The thing I have a problem with is the cost of ammo. Evan before the "big scare" ammo for these wasn't cheep. But other than that they are great and fun to shoot. But as far as price goes, have you seen Classic Arms price on Saiga 7.62x39 rifles? WOW -
Won't he need to worry about 922 compliance if he puts a pistol grip on it?

Found one. Thanks Dad2142Dad.

Anyone know where to get a .410 drum? Can't find any in stock anywhere online. I stock piled some ak mags and a few MD 20's, but waited a little too late for one for the .410.

You could always use your tax return to get a pistol. Unless you can replace the Saiga for half of what you are getting and pocket the other half?

Thats beautiful man.

Got mine today thanks Mike.

Ordered mine on the 13th and got it today.

Anyone else see the picture/video of her (the gun expert with an "assault rifle" in her hands) with her finger on the trigger, safety off and pointing at the crowd? It's pretty funny.

I don't know if I would pay current prices for them. I have 3 different ones. I paid $70 for my romanian and $160 for my triangle 36 and $120 for my other chinese (an oval with 4 numbers in it) just a few months ago too. These were all new and still in cosmoline, and have stayed that way. I bought mine just to collect. I did see one recently that was a fair price but I'm laid off and couldn't justify spending $175 for it(it was a chinese one with 3 numbers in an oval). I don't think you could go wrong with buying one cheap as long as you keep in nice shape, you could always sell it to a collec

Sweet! Glad to see someone sort of local to me do good.

Yea thanks for the heads up, I ordered another one too. Is he in Ohio? I paid Ohio sales tax when I ordered. Just curious.

YAKDUNG, you are right. A lot of people thought the same thing about me too. Know they come to me and ask if I know where they can get ammo, mags, etc.... 4 AK's, 60 plus ak mags and a few thousand rounds dosn't seem sow weird now does it?

Bought this used. It is a Century conversion. It is 09 date of manufacture, has dimples, and has the scratched out etchings (match striker) on the right side of the receiver. It also has the Izzy arsenal stamp(arrow in triangle) on the front trunion. It also has a circle stamp between the Izzy stamp and the serial number. I have the same trunion stamps on my arsenal but don't remember seeing them on other sporters.

And if you file the mags. The only mags that will fit that weapon are the ones you filled. The mags wouldn't work in any other ak correctly either would they?

parts needed to convert Saiga gas system over to the AK style
im_n2_vws replied to im_n2_vws's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
Well I've got the handuard set, and bolt on retainer coming. I cut off the thread cover off the end of the barrel, and it is threaded !!. I have an AK74 style brake coming for it. It will look about right except for no bayonet lug and cleaning rod. How hard is the FSB to take off? Thanks guys. -

It sticks out past the gas block on both sides to catch the original handguard. It seems like it would make more sense to cut the excess off or change pins. It would look cleaner when finished. -

Looks like I'm going to have to do a little work on the gas tube to get it to fit. What do I do about the pin under the chamber that the Saiga front hand guard slides onto now? -

It's just an optical illusion I guess. The Saiga tube looks longer than the regular AK style.I just found an ak gas tube in my parts bin. So now all I need is a bolt on or press on retainer. -

The gas piston doesn't need to be changed? Seems like it would be too long.
