Who has been shooting their super veprs lately? I know i have been missing mine for a while, havent had much time to shoot it. Been busy dialing in my sako 7mm rem mag with handloads. All the while its been quiet here on this thread.

Please dont sell/trade vepr 12, psl, and 1919 a4 for 1 night vision. What night vision is it? Unless its military current issue to spec ops, with latest inovations in night illunination and light absorbtion, its not worth those guns.

Possible that svd is forged no rifling, and then edm process for rifling, saiga 308 is hammer forged with rifling.

Wow, thats good, very methodical and thought out, although i have to disagree that the saiga 308 barrels are made in similar fashion to tiger and svd barrels, svd barrels use a elecro something machine that removes several microns per pass to make the grooves in the rifling, where the saiga is a hammer forged barrel. But i like your thought process.

That is a truth most american people just dont see. Mentality is that the US is the savior in every situation and conflict, but the truth is that US creates conflict to benefit its own agenda.

Yes. There was a post in the vepr 308 asking about the differences in saiga 308 and vepr 308 so I bumped both up to the top. Nothing new. Some people dont know how to search forums.

I have a super vepr 308 and shoot a steel plate 16" width easily at 500 yrds. So saiga will probably do just fine if yours is one of the more accurate ones.

its a vepr hunter model thing. the trigger is not that great. i got one by mistake and sent it back.

The sniper 101 series is great. Get a scope that is in the first focal plane variable scope. There are some options out there that are not too bad. I think 500 or more for a scope will get you something decent.

The whole idea of a shorter barrel being more accurate is because shorter barrels are stiffer. Less whip durring firing. Yet go too short and you neuter the velocity of the round and the accuracy wont matter because the bullet wont reach anything. 20-24 barrels are the premium in length. 26 is too long, 20 is bare Minimum.

Check out remmington scendaro in 300 win mag. From what i hear they are great shooters, have good stock from the get go, they have heavy fluted barrels. I am planning to get one soon myself.
