    Man, I hate it when that happens. Nothing like not having money left to buy ammo & eating ramen noodles for a month. Just prop the gun up somewhere so you can look at it allot and smile until the wallet catches up. Still, A great feeling IMO. Congrats on the new gat!

    I got a Red*Jacket S-12 and my wife has a standard R*J "G" 7.62x39 AK build. Happy with both. Have bought three guns through Atlantic so far. Will at R*J and Blaine at Atlantic are great to deal with. Welcome to the board! Drew

    As far as 12 or 20, I'd say simply personal pref. The Kalashnikov design is rock solid! and Saiga puts out the best firearms of that design. IMO Welcome aboard!

    I got one on my old SKS and a Vector AKM build. So far I like them very much. The mounting screws seemed small for the AK one so I just swapped out for "beefier" screws. Don't get any unwanted movement from either one. adjusting the size on my sks seems smother somehow...... I also have the rubber butt on both. I say thumbs up!

    I vote use a cord with a pressure pad on the fore grip! Mount under the barrel!

    After you bead blast the carrier, aren't you suppose to use some type of wax in it afterward? Had a Buddy that did that to this SKS bolt.

    During the Gulf War we were issued a combat load of 240 rounds. (6 full mags+6 stripper clips) For some strange reason I have always stuck with that formula for all my guns. However, if there were a class 3 Zombie outbreak, you would need to dig up that surplus you buried back in the early 90's

    I've also noticed allot of AR style .223 uppers coming out with a short stroke gas piston. I would love to see that done in an AR-10 .308!!!!!
