  1. I'd never had a flashlight on either of my S-12s but after putting the M22 on them and trying it out I think I'd like to have one on each all the time. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251377563837?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 But I don't think the lights necessarily need have a list of features like a carry light. On the other side of it I'm wondering about some of the 2,000+ lumen egg cookers out there but I think I'll be able to resist getting one...especially since they go for $200-300.
  2. I might just snag another M22. They're on eBay for $65-$70 with no batteries/charger, just the basic setup. No pressure switch in the setup I got, not sure it would be of use to me, like I said, I can work the rear switch with my finger.
  3. Got the M22 in today. I have no basis for comparison since this is my first higher end light but I like how it works. The Fenix PD35 has 5 power settings and this one only has 3 but I can't really imagine the 2 extra settings being of that much use. Also test fitted on both my S-12s....on the low rail On/Off is easy with my index finger while gripping the AFG. And true to form I'm already thinking about getting another light of some sort. I think I'll stick with something (standardize) that uses 1 18650 cell, something around $50. ADD: Anyone have any brand recommendations with re
  4. While many here have bags of top notch flashlights I have to say I didn't have one....just the normal two D cell POSs and some $5 Flea Market LEDs. So I'm long past due getting a good one. And I'll probably end up getting at least one other "smaller" one now that I know a little more about them.
  5. How about a quick summery of the main points of the book The simplest thing would be to look at the listing on Amazon...this is to the Kindle Edition; http://www.amazon.com/Grain-Brain-Surprising-Brains-Killers-ebook/dp/B00BAXFCPO/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1388615476&sr=1-1&keywords=grain+brain This info has to be worth $6.49.
  6. I did. Going for a one rep max and increased the weight too much after a particularly easy rep. Sounded like a green stick breaking in half. Thank God I had a spotter or I'd still probably be under that bar.
  7. Alrighty then, after researching Conscript's recommendation I ordered this; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C1JLVVA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think I'll be happy with it.
  8. I got a $100 Amazon Gift Card from my dear sister for Christmas. After considering getting a $50 flashlight and a ruck/bag of some sort I decided to go ahead and spend it all on a flashlight. I think I prefer a rechargeable and with all the different "bundles" it took some time to narrow it down. So I'm thinking this guy, thoughts? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DR3WA0K/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=QOGI25MFZFSC&coliid=I1SP2QESH0JGRB
  9. The manager at the range where I work got one of these in yesterday, I ran a mag through it....nice!
  10. No problem, thanks for the input. I have a jam nut on the way from CNC Warrior to put behind the adapter. So I'll red Loctite it as you've suggested and then tighten the nut and hopefully that will hold it when the FSC30 goes on. The thought did cross my mind to have the barrel cut just enough to rethread as 5/8x24. Thing is, if it doesn't work out, no harm. If I can't get everything to stay put I can do the rethread thing on the barrel.
  11. The site of the Malmedy Massacre near Malmedy, Belgium?
  12. The FSC30 does come with a set of shims but I'm not getting how what you're talking about will work. The FSC30 is right handed, the adapter is left handed so one will not tighten the other right? What am I missing? (and it's entirely possible I'm missing something)
  13. Back in stock at NoKick.com; http://www.nokick.com/Enidine_Shot_Shock_p/ear-ss.htm
  14. RED, good to see you. I got an extension setup for my Dremel tool, a $100 Amazon card, beau coup raw Walnuts and this; But visiting with my family who I don't get to see that much was the best thing I got.
  15. I hope all my friends here have a safe, enjoyable and stress free Christmas holiday. And I hope Santa stuffs plenty of ammo, gun parts and accessories in your stockings and a rifle and/or pistol or two under the tree.
  16. Damn, don't I hate it when CTD is the only place that has what I'm looking for...

Pulled the trigger on a Drago Gear 36" double gun case at Cope's. I wanted a different color but decided that color wasn't worth an extra $25-$30...$60 Shipped at Cope's, great deal, Thanks!

I will never buy from CTD after they gouged people the way they did, I still have not bought from them and I mean it when I say I never will.

I ended finding a MUCH better deal at Copes but I had to compromise on color which was not a big deal. I wouldn't have bought from CTD anyway...WANKERS!!!

  17. Mainly because the FSC47 is billed as being for the AK47, or 7.62x39. The FSC30 is roughly an inch longer and weighs 1 ounce more. I figured it would be better for the 54r round.
  18. I tend not to stay awake over things I cannot affect or change. I guess it's years of keeping the Serenity Prayer in mind. Something good is just as likely to keep me awake, the anticipation I guess. If I have the luxury of not having to get up early or if it's a day off tomorrow it's not a problem. But all things considered it's not really that bad. I would still like to find a way to turn off my brain though. I do find that "white noise" helps. I turn on a fan or something so it's not dead quiet. And I guess a prescription sleep aid is always an option.
  19. I have a 14mmx1 adapter from CNC Warrior and a FSC30 comp from Primary Arms to install. This is probably a no brainer for the majority here who have more experience than myself. I understand that once I install the left hand threaded adapter and then the right hand threaded comp it will be turning against the adapter. The adapter has no flat sides, if it did it would be a matter of holding it with a standard wrench while tightening/indexing the comp. A friend mentioned using a "strap wrench" to tighten and hold the adapter. I prefer not to scratch anything up using my Bubba skills.
  20. My problem sometimes is trying to fall asleep at night. In the darkness and quiet there's nothing to do but think and not being able to turn it off I stay wide awake. It's not necessarily worry or angst, it could be thinking about what I'm going to do tomorrow, or some sort of project I'm working on or a problem I'm trying to solve. I've tried visualizing a blank TV screen like when it's not on a channel, static...or water breaking on the shore at the beach. It's not easy...for me at least.
