Would like to add a correction to my posting of sorts. The main job of a flash hider is to help the shooter not be blinded by his own fire at night. With that said, some of the more modern flash hiders do in fact reduce flash signature to the enemy to the point where there is more light coming from your ejection port than the muzzle.

Dragunov, (or at least my PSL for example) has a flash hider. You need to understand that a real drag or military PSL is sighted in at the armory with the flash hider installed for that reason. Now your civilian version Saiga is sighted in without one. Anytime you either add or take away something from the end of your muzzle you are almost guaranteed to change your POI. Also keep in mind that the more stuff you put on your barrel the more you increase the likelyhood of it affecting accuracey regardless of whether you re-adjusted your sights or not. The scope you select should be based on it's intended use. I concluded from this part of your posting "help me complete my Dragunov look" that you are more concerned about how your rifle "looks" rather than how it "shoots". If making your rifle "look kewl" is your main intent then any scope that looks good to you will do. But if you actually intend to shoot your rifle then we need to know what range and what your target is. This will determine what scope you should look for. Personally, I would not even touch the sights until you test it at 100 yards first. Is your scope slightly offset from center? If so they your groups are normal. Check @ 100 before you fiddle with them as this should at least get you on the paper at 100yds.

FWIW, I have a stock 16" with a Belurus PO 4x24NPZ Scope and I get a 5inch group at 100 yards. I was using budget Wolf military classic 223 ammo. Im not the best shot but I always make my group tighter the more I shoot so I look foward to getting it down to at least a 3 inch group with better ammo at a later date. I got a 3inch group on the same 100 yard range using Czech silver tip 7.62x54r ammo in my PSL rifle as a comparison. Buzz, I could be wrong but I think your SKS is out of ATF specs. I think you might need to remove the bayo and nade laucher sight and nade laucher to be within specs but the BATFE can help you with that.
