Saiga 12s and clay pigeons

Yeah, that guy here a while back that was being all sketchy and evasive did send me the tube and gas block and plug. Sounds like a good idea. It is a S12 unit. -

Depends on what you do with the rear sight at the same time. Globally lowered should make no difference. Gunfun, I have a spare gas tube. I am going to have it converted to the AK style but use a different rear sight. Attach a handguard like is done on AKs, but have the top end ribbed with a low profile rear sight. -

Dumb kids, but actually quite reasonable police (for once). -
Saiga 12s and clay pigeons

Thanks for the shot, Oldetool. The sight is thin enough. Maybe I could lower it enough to have the rib cover the bottom part of it. -

I like that. I think the sight picture is like what I want. What do you think about sinking that rib into an upper handguard? -
So my manager decided it was time for an afternoon of fun. We got about half my group up at his farm for a few hours of beer pizza, and shooting. Taught a Japanese fellow to shoot some pistols, along with a girl who hadn't shot before much, and eventually got them both to blow up a chunk of Tannerite with some ARs. Then out came the clay chucker and the shotguns. I ran my 870 and my Saiga, another guy ran his 870. The saiga of mine, which is totally un-modded, hits clays rather well with just the open choke threat cover, and ran through a box or so of low brass Federals on gas setting

I would truly excuse you from screaming like a little girl for that. -
Neither Space Shuttle crash was caused by computer programming. The first was caused by launching outside of safe paramenters. The second was caused by enviro-morons forcing them to use sub-standard materials on the fuel tank. Space Shuttle code was incredible in how meticulous it was. Recommend you read about it.

Withdrawn due to a "momentary lapse of reason." Album art from a Pink Floyd album of that name.

There's no social stigma about a tattoo. They ARE permanent, so I see two dangers with them. 1. You might not like what it says after some years, especially if you got it while drunk or via peer pressure. 2. It may say "your message" to the wrong people at the wrong time. A Southern Cross is beautiful, but it pisses off black people. Then there's the health hazards. The main problem I see with tattoos, piercings, funky haircuts, is that some young person thinks that's the way to express themselves, instead of just being them. Put that time and money you would have spent on bodily di

The price difference from HK to Glock is not much. Maybe 15%? -
I'm not sure you can call modern car design bad. I mean, I'm sure that a car company could make a better, less penetrable, more protected electronics system, but it would price itself out of the market, and you, nor anyone else, would not buy it. Also, I'd like to know what range their "wireless" is using. It's physically impossible to wirelessly hack a car for any real purpose if you have to stay within bluetooth distance of it (six feet). So, while this is a cool achievement, I'm not seeing how it equates to massive governmental conspiracy or a sudden danger of being hacked. Cars

Yeah, but whipping out some vigilante justice on people who kill innocents, no matter the color, is for heroes. -

Well Montec, there's a lot of things wrong with my company, but the cars aren't one of them. I like my Monte Carlo as well, 72, original, my granddad bought it new. I know that the ECU was tested hard after the accel claims, and a bunch of PhDs swore up and down that it could never happen and had reams of evidence to prove it. One of the big reasons is the nature of error signals. You can have a spurious signal that may or may not trip a code, but all it would do, even if it WERE the exact signal to floor the throttle, is just blip it for a fraction of a second. It would have to be a con -

Striker fired pistols, to me, are ok. The glock trigger isn't bad. It isn't great, but it works. I just like hammered pistols. I did like the glocks I've shot. My only beef about the 1911 is the Defender model's reassembly. That damn catch is hard enough to insert without the spring under tension, it's worse with it in there. -
I shot a RRA .308 AR-10 this morning. Belongs to my manager. Nice gun.

Doctor, that's some good points. Patriot, I have the luxury of making more than I need. If I didn't believe what I told you, I wouldn't work there. As such, because I gave you some good info, and you blew me off, I'll consider you simply being rude. The etymology of my handle is a contraction of Volatile, which was an unavailable name for a computer character long ago. Not sure what language you pulled out of your ass on that one. ....Oh wait, It's LATIN. Except, unfortunately for your clever jibes, Volo, velle, volui, does not equal Voltia. Nice try though. I give you a 3/10. -

Nah, you're not done. You just baited a Toyota engineer. Behold my knowledge! Ok, so the acceleration thing. It was found by independent consultants that the ECU was not at fault for the stuck accelerator issues, and this was upheld in court. That means, if you insinuate otherwise, you just slandered a corporation and could be held responsible for your comments. Tread lightly. There never was any sudden acceleration. There were two issues: Floormat clearance problems, and sticky accelerators. The floormats are easy to understand, and were fixed by not including optional mats as a t
