I see they finally added the long awaited heat-seaking micro-rpg to a rifle, which of course is used in conjunction with a special incendiary AP tracer round to both designate and soften point of entry of the molten copper penetrator.

i've always liked paint marker ergonomics too, seems light years ahead of firearms sometimes but then I remember that the older guns were made of wood and easily customized to suit your individual needs (not that anyone ever did, on occassion though, you'll find that a soldier changed the grip feel slightly) but yah weight + recoil changes what feels good sometimes. Still, paint ball is the entire reason that i like foregrips. Almost forgot to mention.. Good Job, looks comfortable.

  4. Exactly my thought, the SKS is a superb choice for 7.62x39 work on hogs, deer, and SHTF due to the extra MOA squeezed out of the gun compared to most AKs. The only problem with the SKS is the lack of Quality aftermarket accessories which is exactly why i've kept my SKS in it's unadulterated, stock condition and would consider the AK first for the role. Now.. if only the SKS came in an American from the ground up, CNC-made .308 that accepts CSSPECS or M14 mags without the whole duckbill fiasco while still allowing stripper clip feeding in a pinch, a reinforced receiver cover with the rear si
  5. I've been advised against the VEPR already by some people who told me to get a HK91 or a saiga, but the idea of having an RPK receiver that won't die is very appealing still. What were the reasons for the advise given to not pick up a VEPR? I leaning towards the VEPR but before I do just want to know what I would be getting myself into. Thanks There wasn't anything logical other than cost, and quite honestly, i've done the math with regards to cost, I think I'm going with the VEPR just because i'll be saving about $1600 compared to the FAL when all is said and done (my ideal
  6. I Really Like what you did there, that looks like one of the best i've seen in all 22 pages of this thread, especially for a DIY job. I'm curious about what paint you used (I really like that paint job and need a can of that)? How much weight did it add or drop? If you've had a chance to shoot it yet? And finally, as a fellow diminutively statured man, I feel your pain with standard LOP on rifles, I always want everything closer in to my shoulder. I was thinking of doing similiar mods to a VEPR .308.
  7. Yah, I was already thinking CSSPECS seems like a good guy from his comments on the forum, which would give him preference for who to buy mags from first over TSD. I'd like to see him make some 30-45 rounders.. If he does that or at least gives a promise that he'll be able to keep within a year, I'm sold on a VEPR and he'll get my business in the future (That's Right CSSPECS, I'ma Callin You Out! ) though I'd still buy the TSD side folding stock because well, that looks like a great mod. Furthermore though, if he made some 30-45 round mags (maybe go galil-style and make them 35 rounds or RPK

  9. If it's built, someone will eventually buy it and apply it in just that way. For what reason, IDK, but hey, their gun, their decision.. now me, i want my battle rifle

  11. I pretty much have the same question, except substitute this DSA FAL for the SCAR (I already concluded the SCAR and AR aren't what I want): http://www.dsarms.com/SA58-FAL-PARATactical-Carbine-308-Cal----SA58TACP/productinfo/SA58TACP/ with this stock: http://www.dsarms.com/SA58_FAL-LOP-Side-Folding-Adjustable-SOCOM-Stock-----090PSOCOM-A/productinfo/090PSOCOM-A/ I've been advised against the VEPR already by some people who told me to get a HK91 or a saiga, but the idea of having an RPK receiver that won't die is very appealing still. The FAL is pretty much just as tough as the VEPR from
