  1. I know several Rural Aussies, they all say there are way more guns(NOT registered) in Australia than the gov will acknowledge . Many in the cities turned theirs in or reg. if they could. Not the country people.
  2. At Lead Farm 3gun Match.
  3. I don't know how it got started either, but generally high brass are hunting type loads and can be loaded heavier than the typical cheaper LB ammo. ~90% of what determines how a shell functions is the charge, and shot weight, some of the remaining factors are hull stiffness, and thickness and type of metal base. It's a never ending education campaign.
  4. SHHH, don't wanna ruin it for the rest of us
  5. We ship about 90% USPS, avg, 9 packages per day. In the last 3 years we've had 3 that disappeared. Several that have taken longer, none that I know of that have been over 7 days, I only check tracking if the customer notifies me it's not arrived. Priority is USUALLY a 2 day delivery, some areas it's 3. OP look at when the PO actually got the package. MANY places will print a label and checked off SHIPPED, when in actuality it is sitting in their shop waiting to be boxed up. Where USPS is REALLY bad is if you ship small parts in a normal envelope FC mail. Those will get destroyed
  6. We shoot 1145's with a mid barrel comp, almost exclusively unless target arrays dictate something heavier. However we have setup our competitions guns for this . All the Match guns we've tested will run 1200's right out of the box, and most will run 1145's at about 100 rounds.
  7. Well the Soviet guns were made by a drunk russian with a big hammer so . . . . . . Couldn't let that one pass
  8. What model do you have ? Magnum, Pre-XN, XN, or Match ? High brass isn't necessary, it is the weight of the shot 1 1/8 minimum, and the velocity 1300 fps or higher that is what cycles the action. DO NOT try and use the cheapest ammo out there. I have yet to find an MKA that won't run on decent ammo. It may take a few mags before it runs 100% but by 20 rounds it should be running good. Make sure the gun is oiled, the majority of guns that we get that "don't run" have zero oil in them.
  9. There is 1 for sure, This match had a ton of mixed bird buck slug targets, and so many guys were getting stag DQ for shooting the wrong target. I was so used to racking out whatever was in the chamber on a mag change that I did on this all bird stage as well. maybe 2 if you count a slightly different stage plan, after watching the vid several times, I think I could have shaved about 1.5-2 seconds off.
  10. 3rd & 7th finish in Open We both had some stupid mistakes that knocked us down a few spots
  11. They have been promised for over 2 years now, midway finally took them off their site several months ago.
  12. I didn't , mods??? youtube ? ? ? Here they are all together
  13. Watch the video, I AM the fat guy . . . . I figured there would be some crazies there as well, especially since they were giving prizes for the best costume. I only saw 4 people dressed up.
  14. Since this forum is about dead, I'll post something to discuss - here's what we did. 2015 Pandemic Zombies in the Heartland 3Gun Match Josh got 4th , I got 6th 140 entries in Open division. pretty good company, top 3 are what I would call professional shooters Here's my best stage 3rd in Open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2bLGqtAIUQ Got 5th in this one , had the 3rd fastest time, but got a penalty that knocked me back a few spots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFvxr8CPCE0 Totally blew 2 stages that hurt my placement real bad Overall 554 shooters Josh got 12th I
  15. Can't derail the thread any further so Hardly any of the guys who we work/shoot with - and have a lot of knowledge and skill to share , ever post here any more. Not worth it. I hardly ever post here, offering advice, mainly because most get deleted within a few minutes. It wasn't only the MKA forum that had these problems, it was discussed on the "business members only " forum as well. The site lost quite a few supporters from what little I gathered there. Sad to see.....
  16. Not able to export any trigger parts - ITAR and all that garbage
  17. I had not considered that but it is a good idea. My only coupled set is a pair of 15 rd magazines. Adding a 5 rd magazine is not much weight and might work nicely. Finally found a use for that stack of 5 rd mags sitting in the corner. Thanks. Bill We've been doing that from the day we made our first 13 round mag, a 5rnd coupled to a 10, 11, 13, or 23.
  18. COPS range that is, Joshua got 1st, I totally blew a stage and ended up 3rd The all SG stage
  19. The bolt has to be milled to work, I'm sure someone will try an Dremel one That's good news. With your permission, I'd like to give you a call when I get back in town. Bill No problem. I always answer - if I'm not already on the phone
  20. I know you offer the XN carrier, Is the XN bolt assembly and barrel available as individual parts? Is modifying the bolt to pre-XN configuration a major project or something I can do at home? Bolts are available, barrels will be soon The bolt has to be milled to work, I'm sure someone will try an Dremel one
  21. A XN bolt can be made to fit a pre-XN, or upgrade the barrel carrier and bolt to XN. However the Match barrel, bolt, carrier is much different. Mags all interchange, the new ones have a different follower. How much is he asking matt PM me your email - I'll let him contact you if he wants to sell.
  22. I have a customer who has an XN version for sale I can put you guys in contact if your interested.
  23. I was wrong about no Sagia's at our match, there was one . It had many problems according to several of my RO's.
