  1. UPDATE: RAAC (who by the way, has absolutely horrible business hours that are extremely inconvenient for graveyard shift gentlemen like myself) FINALLY got back to me on this issue Apparently the Turks have replaced the screw/spring/detent setup for the safety lever altogether and now have a one single screw piece that acts as the detent for the safety lever. This is going to be in all current 1919s being produced. Not that it matters, since its not like its a performance piece or something but itll help reduce chances of losing the spring or detent whenever you field strip. Just call th

  3. It's better to ask around first and see if anyone has any spares or knows where to get one rather than buying randomly and finding out it wont work
  4. I am not on speaking terms with said Godzilla
  5. any bros out there have any spares for sale?
  6. I finally found the missing spring ...freaking stupid dog
  7. I really don't see the big deal, to be honest. Keep the factory spring when you're hunting, then do the 5 minute disassemble and put the light spring for when you go to the range for some practice/skeet shooting I mean it would be nice to be able to have the perfect setup that shoots EVERY type of ammo, but as of now, if youre gun doesnt cycle light loads after breaking it in, then switching out the spring and adding a bushing is the best bet for cheap range plinking If you do find an answer, let me know. I still have to break my 1919 in with heavy hunting loads
  8. I tried the gas bushing... even that doesnt help sometimes. Its worth it to dissassemble it to replace the spring if you can shoot cheap walmart ammo a little easier
  9. You just gonna do 10-rounders or anything larger as well? Will the price point be about the same as the factory 10s? I think he was testing 12 or 13 rounders
  10. Well if you want to add a stock and/or pistol grip, you'd have to make your 1919 922r compliant first (or was it if you wanted to use high cap mags? I cant remember. Either ways, we all know youre gonna get a highcap mag anyways so you might as well make your 1919 shotgun 922r compliant) Buy a Tromix trigger for $25 ish (counts as 2 parts), or send your lower in to FireBird and have them install their AR-15 style trigger (counts as 3 parts) Buy a Tromix gas piston and then buy a US made choke (gunsumer reports has a good article about all of this. Their choke replacement is pretty tactic
  11. Lets just say it was an animal related incident and lets leave it at that Oh God, dont tell me that

  13. My uh...spring and detent broke.... have any spares, gentlemen?
  14. thats still good progress though. we need more people out there making hi cap mags
  15. I wonder if running a few boxes of this would break in the 1919 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/440173/winchester-super-x-high-brass-ammunition-12-gauge-2-3-4-1-1-4-oz-4-shot-box-of-25
  16. 1919 parts should be in stock at Carolina Shooter Supply and Mississippi Auto Arms
  17. chamfer... like, the part of the barrel that extends into the action area? I'm not sure if rounds are getting hung up there but I'll pay more close attention
  18. Oh wait, I forgot you were the gentleman making 13 round mags. Ofcourse you finetuned your 1919. What sort of things could one do to help cycling reliability? All I know of: 1: install a gas bushing (DONE) 2: install a different spring for light brass loads (considering buying one now)
  19. Only problem is that the front and rear sight and aligned because of the way the handguard curves. Once the FB handguard gets released, that wont be a problem but eh.
  20. I stated it in first post. Approx 75 00buckshot 1200fps shells and 100 centurion #8 1400fps shells I havent shot any "full power" loads in my 1919 yet. What would you suggest as the cheapest FULL POWER load to fire to get the gun to cycle flawlessly? I would heavily enjoy a flawless magdump 99% of the time but I dont want to spend a bunch of money on pricey slugs if its avoidable. Advice? I'm extremely jealous that your 1919 functioned almost flawlessly out of the box with walmart bulk ammo :/ Did you modify your 1919? Was it a firebird conversion? All I did was install a trom
  21. I can wait until tax return for some aftermarket 1919 parts haha
  22. I bulk bought 250 shells of "Low recoil" Royal buckshot 1200fps http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-8491 and 250 Centurion #8 1400fps http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/AMM-8180 Had about a 65% success rate with the buckshot and about 15% with the centurion (I had 1 Tromix gas bushing installed when I shot the centurion ammo) I shot approx 75 shells of 00buck and 100 centurion and had little improvement in cycling success a lot of failure to eject, failure to extract from magazine, and several stovepipes Very disappointed. How did the rest of you get so lucky to
  23. i've had mostly failures. Very dissapointed so far
  24. no idea either boss I was told the same thing a week ago......."soon"
