  1. Tramontina, 18" or better. Really any south american brand is good, note SOUTH AMERICAN, NOT MEXICAN. Get a regular leather sheath.
  2. Honey sure has gotten expensive in the last year or so hasn't it! I get the large containers from food workers supply stores. Another cool thing about some grains such as red winter wheat berries, is you can "SUPERCHARGE" your vitamins by soaking them for a day and letting them sprout before eating them. You can get many many times the vitamins of the original wheat berry by doing this and it still tastes great!
  3. Have your tried their freeze dried icecream? It's...different. But not bad. Also, I like to keep an old earplug container (you know the 10x10x10 or so ones) full of those vitamin gel boost packets, I can't think of the name off the top of my head, but they sell them at REI. They're pretty cheap and taste alright too.
  4. Well, if he had used those PMC rounds we'd still probably be waiting on the forensic team to clean the fouling and carbon out before they could test lands/grooves. Too soon?
  5. That real nice Nemo, well done.
  6. Any of you guys that were/are in the service remember change of command ceremonies with fixed bayonets? Drink water, don't lock your knees, or you're gonna have a real bad time. TIMBERRRRRRRRRRR!
  7. If someone shoots at your house, at what point do you just "duck and cover" and call the cops, or return fire? It was the Seattle area, they were probably too busy shielding their bicycle while cleaning the tears off their rectangle framed turtle-shell glasses and trying not to spill their latte on their macbook while soliciting organic vegetables inside their garage/ACORN HQ/homeless shelter.
  8. What's up with the guy in the red, issuing a couple light taps with some cordage?
  9. The SAME THING *JUST* happened here in the Seattle area. Today. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Deputies-Gunman-on-the-loose-in-Tacoma-neighborhood-200137831.html
  10. Thanks! I guess I'll look for something else, I found 2x mag pouches for 12 rounders somewhere. I will have to find it again and see if they carry ATACS-FG yet.
  11. That looks perfect, very professionally done!
  12. What if the pouches were inverted? Do you think they would still hold well (considering they'd have 12 shells in them adding weight as well) or would this be an automatic no-go? Can you do an upside-down shaky-shake and let me know please?
  13. That has to be the most awkward pistol grip position for your trigger hand. Doesn't look very comfortable at all.
  14. Your 25+ year storage foods are somewhat limited due to moisture content/oils/etc and they MUST be kept in airtight containers with oxygen absorbers. Examples of 25+ foods are the following DRIED foods: Wheat, Rice, corn, sugar, pinto beans, rolled oats, pasta, potato flakes, and dehydrated apple slices. Be EXTREMELY careful and pay attention to the moisture content, or you will have botulism poisoning.
  15. IF you're not wiling to pack it yourself, the best value/product I have found is a place called Emergency Essentials (beprepared.com). I used them before I learned how to store food myself, and it's a great value. I recommend their dry grains superpails. It's about $1/lb, and they are sealed for storage in a food grade bucket with a sealed mylar bag inside. I used this as a model to make my own after I found a grain elevator around here. Also see this previous thread (http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/85177-bobemergency-supplies/?view=findpost&p=860820), I have included pictur
  16. CH, are those A-TACS FG pattern pouches? If so where did you get them? I have a lot of trouble finding gear in this pattern.
  17. Just wait, the red hats with field a whole slew of McCains and Romneys and McConnells and we'll be back to ground zero once again. Sorry GOP, the truth hurts. Both parties take freedoms away whether you agree with them or not.
  18. lol.....Thanks Its all because of the guys here in this forum. You all told me what was good and what was bad. What I needed to work on and gave me great ideas! I post the videos on AFCOM to but find its full of "haters" that give no constructive criticism. This was the first gun forum Ive been apart of and now I'll always be one. Hey if I ever get paid for this hobby I'll get one of those vendor accounts lol. If there is a gun video you'd like to see because you cant find a video on it or at least a good one, let me know and I'll try to make it happen. I'd like to see a Lahti 20mm, i
  19. I use this, both grip and stock. ATI Scorpion recoil system...Yeah yeah I know, ATI....
  20. It was his wife who let them in apparently. Time to have a talk with our wives I think. "The elder Moore was at a friend's house when his wife called, saying state child welfare investigators, along with four local police officers, were at the house, asking to inspect the family's guns."
  21. reality time: tell me, what violation of the 4th admnt? the daddy was the one that posted the picture, he willing put that on a public forum so there is no expectation of privacy, so there is no 4th admnt violation from the DYFS or anyone else. when he told them no and to go away unless they get a search warrant when asked to search his safe , they did, so again where is the violation of the 4th admnt? you're right about one thing, the same people who put up their personal info on a public forum, then it comes back to bite them in the butt, will usually cry about "invasion of privac
  22. We had one of the bush ones a few years ago, it started out as a blow dart target. Then we would strategically place it behind doors, in the bathroom, around corners, etc. It provided quite the scare when you would flip the light on thinking you were home alone and someone had moved it. Friends got me more times than I could count and were returned the favor. It was hilarious.
