  1. Nope, look for directions for modifying a g2 hammer. Stick you factory hammer and your g2 on pin together check the profile! Also before removing hammer verify your hammer doesn't hit anything before it makes it to the 90* mark when you pull the trigger! Find out where it binds and grind that off as well! I actually used a belt sander to profile mine worked pretty well! Then I lapped it to the bolt carrier with stick on sandpaper on the bottom of the bolt carrier, remember its an AK. This is the first time I openly posted about my bolt profile, it worked great. I paid $7 for my

Just a comment, clean gun, lubed with hoppes oil, no magazine (sorry mag was loaded but wanted to fire a slug so I just dropped one in) it ejected pretty well. But not really any true data as I had no mag, but the round itself was good. This was fresh cleaned all around, and WET with the hoppes high viscosity, no mag, clean ejection of Fiochi low recoil 1oz 1150 fps actually have the round in hand for this post.
  3. Probably, but if its clean it will run better. It will switch better with clean threads and its a few minutes after a day shooting
  4. I have decided a simple test for my puck/piston! If I use the bho or hold the bolt back, then shake the gun up and down, I should be able to hear a crisp clunk of the piston hitting the valve and gas block back and forth, if its soft slow delayed or inconsistent it's time to clean. As a side note I found out my gun is a four port, just one is at the far front of my gas block, not blocked tho
  5. I decided to wipe mine down with a rag, the sand did not get inside. Wiped the oil and gsr out ready for next run
  6. I just cleaned my gun before this outing, put some hoppes oil on all the bolt and carrier areas of friction, was so smooth, even cycled my low recoil Fiochi without problem, put 100 rounds through it, was a mess inside but still super smooth. Ride home somehow dumped a handful of sand in it, I will clean it, leave it dry, run it dry, unless I see reason to lube it, like a 100 plus round day or a low recoil day. 100 rd day lube for wear, low recoil line for reliability
  7. I'm not seeing where that has been modified? Am I missing something? I see ports in the barrel. And a factory round port on the gas block? I do see where his piston/puck needs to be knocked out and cleaned IMO. That might help a lot. Who makes the prod/probe/gauge kit? I want a set of those to clean my ports, thought about a torch cleaning kit and bending them to fit inside
  8. Federal law on shotgun is 18" without a tax stamp! It would be way cheaper to cut down your barrel but if you have a 19" barrel is it worth the effort to make it an 18"? If your going tax stamp then your looking at state laws after tax stamp! Then look into barrels and shorter gas tube and op rods if needed And subscribed for responses on lube recommendation
  9. Wouldn't think that would be a problem? Mine goes pretty close to the threads
  10. I guess for me I just think of CTD (I know there are hard feelings towards them!) but they have 5rd pro mags for 15 each or 10 rd for 20 each, Mod them for mag well an have extra mags, keep them factory ones for later, or in your case swap followers and have two mags for price of one
  11. Remove the paint and start this video at 2:25, go from there. It aint rocket science and I think the polishing wheels can be found at Harbor Freight or maybe Northern Tool. Rubbing compounds and liquid polishes can be had at most auto parts stores, maybe even at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool while you are getting the wheels. Just be careful of flying metal objects that may get caught in the wheel But part of that would be to help the guy up! Mine cycles low recoil gun club loads with the paint still on it! Not even broke in yet and still works just fine.
  12. I say use caution but if you got some spare time; Take over a six pack of soda, and see how he is doing? I'd love to just go bs for a bit but I do live several hours away! Shoot I'd love to take my bolt and carrier over and learn how to polish bolts myself and in trade help him catch up on a few things!
  13. ok, legion has the 308 saiga on sale too https://legionusainc.com/saiga-rifles-for-sale/factory-models.html
  14. legion has a cool one with a removable but stock, not converted, but its on sale for 530 shipped, I ordered one.
  15. agreed, I dont need any, but if they are the same as my izzy mags and could be made from a flat sheet of any material, be it plastic, steel, aluminum, polycarbonate. on softer material, you could probably drill the hole in it and have a router with a guide plate that bolts down and knock out cool polycarb ones in less then a minute a peice, material would probably be less then a dollar a peice, to make simple math, sell 60 of them for $10 each, thats $50 an hour, I guess that is about right tho, lol. but 50 an hour with a home made guide and a router table sounds like good money.... maybe
  16. yes, and people like russ military sell adapters
  17. I was thinking about getting a chunk of 1/16 thick chromoly, or even like 1/4 inch chromoly plate, if it was the 1/16 I would have to make internal rails, if it was 1/4 I would mill the rails, either way, make it in three seperate chunks, bolt it down to a set of trunions and weld them together. other thoughts included a really long receiver, and a much longer bolt carrier, for a long action caliber, up to and including a 50bmg or 12ga FH, either one with LOTS of R&D, but still fun. the longer bolt and bolt carrier would allow for a longer firing pin, allowing the trigger gro
  18. Buds gun shop is 564 shipped for zastava
  19. Tig welder with LOTS of argon! Something small like that, put it inside a comforter bag or other clear plastic bag, space bag, something like that. Takes some work to set that up tho. Good luck! I'd love to do the welding!
  20. It becomes an NFA regulated and taxed SBR. Proper channels need to be followed and NFA paperwork is needed. But I think you can turn it into a long gun, with a butt stock if you extend the barrel with a permanently attached muzzle device to an OAL of 16" and total OAL not less then 26" including receiver, without paperwork. I could be wrong. Ok that's what I thought

I think the low recoil are running like 1080 or 1180 or something aren't they? I get 1200 fps bird shot to cycle mine no problem
  22. Ok I thought a shoulder stock is illegal on a pistol in the US? Isn't that where the ATF approved the wrist brace thing?
