  1. The front handguard IS the immediate give away to the SVD. So I think your right cobra, with the right fore stock a PSL would be a believable clone. Plus if you jet the gas block you can pick up some accuracy, reduce the "vertical stringer," and shoot heavy ball safely. Steel dbl stack mags.
  2. Though you ordered one of the new 45deg offset irons sights, so your red dot could sit over the center of bore! Lmfao that's sucks!!! I own Arsenal products and I AM one of those idiots that would pay a couple hundred more for the name. Not a 1000$ more. But now I may need to reconsider my "sight unseen" (excuse the malicious pun) purchase policy. As a mechanical contractor I have learned "professional" doesn't mean never making mistakes. I coined the term "make your fuck-ups, come-up" they are actually improvement! So if arsenal is real good they'll have the offset irons for sale next week
  3. If there's a list, put me on it! For anyone who hasn't bought through Legion, I can tell you first hand they are excellent to work with! If you have questions they are very clear, no disappointments. +1(yes ik there is a gay feedback section)
  4. Picked up these today! I'm kinda stoked. They fit one of the two 040 saiga's I purchased from Alex at Legion USA. The guys there at Legion have always been very personable, shoot you strait, and make some really good deals! These hanguards are SVDs factory fit specifically for the izzy 447. So I'm thinking either a SVD folder or a factory wood buttstock modded to fit "converted" fcg to finish that gun out. I will most likely have a polymer SVD style stock set for sale if some one has interest in that. I also grabbed one of the ak-100 poly folders while they are still available. (Gotta fig out
  5. The better your gun works, the more you need the six position or finer adjustments/regulation.
  6. That IS super cheap, unfortunately they look appropriately priced! Lmao. Something looks funny on the back of the receiver. So I have a question SVD wood stock for a "restored" fcg, does that beast exists?
  7. You have jumped around and referenced almost every different handguard style! 030 w wood ak 109 w SVD 030 w SVD 040 w SVD 433 w wood Galil 109 w wood galil Post a picture of the closest thing you can find, or what your trying to do? Pleas n ty
  8. Passive/aggressive, bipolar, schizo, lol asshole a lot. To which I reply "i've been called a lot worse, by a lot better" lol. Jk. I'm all about helping people and investing in their lives. IF it's worth it. I have had to learn, some people are NOT. Most of the guys on here flame early and ask questions later, I know I have. But deep deep deep, deep deep down we all want to help each other, right? Lol problem I have with the OP was polishing Metal is a very basic principle, that is very well-documented. Show proof that you've done some kind of homework, that you've put some of your own effort
  9. These guys are dicks! There just like me. Lol but seriously when you first get into this gun hobby, it's how much shit can you bolt on top of the gun. With maturity and experience you realize that it's about how much you can take off again and still have to function. "Lean and mean" if you will. Also there's a lot of the fuddy-duddy AK purist on here. I'm slowly becoming one. It's out of respect for the AK platform as you learn the history etc.. It's from that standpoint that you would ask "what the fuck are you talking about the laser on an AK" so. Unfortunately the detrimental attitude that
  10. It is a ton of work. Go to a chrome shop and look in the polishing room. It's NASTY! Fact You have to be very agressive and intentional to get the tooling marks out. It takes skill and technique. Nothing on the top side of the carrier is critical. BUT there are some crucial geometries! And it IS a firearm. No one on here can judge your skill or competency. And asking question does to prove your incompetence. But asking the most basic questions that you are would suggest you don't have a clue about metal working. So I suggest getting a 1/2" ss bolt. Sand smooth and polish the head of that first
  11. If the SVD look is your final goal. Get an iz-447. I just bought one. Not home yet. But I can relay the particulars about how the front mounting braket works on a factory saiga 12 with SVD handguard. There are several threads along this line, and anyone who has gone indepth explaining something, can get understandably annoyed to answer the same questions over and over. I know the search suck here. But ALMOST everthing has been asked before. This happens to interest me because I have been looking for a while, and just recently found, this exact model. Mine is only polymer stock tho. If you
  12. Buy a new barrel. Prob cheaper and faster.http://www.iccmfg.com/saiga.html Then sell your barrel
  13. He prob fell on hard times and was forced to sell them.......at a profit. Lol It's fair to assume that you didn't read the thread, as they have been making adjustments and modification to fit the saiga magwell guns 030/040. The pictures show there very close.
  14. Hey "big titties" pm sent. Sunnybeam the mags seem to work ok with no mods in the saiga? Have you adjusted the length of your saiga mag latch, or were they both vepr 12 mag latches? P.S. My card was shut down by my banks "fraud services" lol. That's why I could not complete my order. The auditor felt the transaction was suspicious. Retards. Obviously they are not familar with my account purchases, or the only red flags would be non-firearm related. Lol. I am purchasing (2) more saiga 040 (magwell guns). Hope to have better ordering luck next time!!!!!
  15. The doctors said the strain I have is terminal?! Lmfao. Is maybe the tip of the LRBHO catching the rim or interfering
  16. Can I get a decoder ring, or some special glasses to be able to understand your post? Lol
  17. IMHO svd is just an sks on steroids! (That'll get em fired up) I think the sks is a better gun than an ak. The ak is a mans Barbie! You can dress em up how ever you want. Lol. But I love ALL of them! He he
  18. http://imageevent.com/willyp/russiansovietcomblocsection/romania/romanianpslsniperrifle I found this very informative about PSL's
  19. The PSL is a real war machine. The VEPR can't claim that history. Did some break, maybe? Has anyone seen a broken one? But if they did, how many millions of rounds have these guns shot successfully? Are the built lighter? Yes. That is because they were designed to be mobile. Not hang on wall next to an animal mount. "Metal doublstack mags" nuff said. No plastic crap. If you are worried about the over gassed, nature that ultimately leads to reliability even under battle conditions, all you have to do is drill and tap the gas block use set screws as jets and tune it down to shoot your ammo and i
  20. These are LRBHO. For the old ones I just "krebs" slot em. I know some people don't like that, but I don't like some people. Lol. Swipe the safety to fire, stip a round, load the chamber, all in one clean sweep.
  21. This is definitely a well needed product. 50$ or less would be reasonable. But to be able to drop the bolt like a boss=priceless.
  22. You have a great product. I will wait, forever if I have to. This whole thing pisses me off and by "this whole thing" I mean the scares, the lawmakers bs, it ruins it for people who actually have fun with theses guns. You guys make awesome mags, at a reasonable price. It just kinda the needle that poked the festering blister. So nothing against your company or products. I just liked it better when people bought guns and accessories for better reasons than "cuz everbody else wants one, or because we might not get one" I try to train my children to NOT act like that. I don't have the time to sit
  23. Tried a dozen times to spend several hundred dollar! I am seriously irritated. By the second or third try the dented quantity wasn't available. I refuse to act like a piranha. This is bs.
