Shot a CZ-75 D Compact yesterday and it felt really good in my hand and pointed pretty naturally. I'd be worried though that it being double-stack and having that hump on the grip might make it sorta hard to hide[?]

Are single stacks markedly easier to hide than double stacks or is it about the same? Like a CZ-75 carry version and a 1911 Commander model.

I was thinking of getting a faux laptop case for the summer months when I can't wear over-clothing without being the stereotypical "Hawaiian shirt over normal outfit on a 100 degree day" person. I tend to wear hoodies over my clothes for 75% of the year anyway so its really only summer I have to worry about. Then I could carry either OWB under the hoodie or in a vertical shoulder holster so I'm not muzzle-sweeping everyone behind me all the time.

So it's always trial and error? I mean I figured most gun shops aren't cool with you shoving their products in your pants but I held out hope that they were actually cool about it.

How do you find out if you can hide a gun before you buy it [or can you even test this out beforehand]? I'd hate to shell out on a carry gun only to realize I can't hide it well, or to be forced to buy such a small gun its no fun to practice with just so I know I can hide it.

I've been considering getting a new pistol for EDC since even though I bought my Tokarev as a do-it-all pistol after buying my custom Zebrawood grips for it and it being my first pistol I feel too much sentimentality to carry it. I'm now trying to understand, as far as rounds go, what everyone thinks is most important? At first I thought it was force/energy and that that translated to more damage but seeing gel tests that doesn't seem universally true. My next thought would be permanent wound cavity but a lot of the most touted rounds I hear so much about for carry ammo leave relatively thin

I got nuts to fit the size of the bolt for the LRBHO but it appears the magwell bolt is bigger. Does anyone have a size on that bolt? Also, it seems I will have to trim the nut down since this too-small of nut fits snuggly in the hole just not on the bolt so a bigger nut might be too big[?] above someone said to trim the nut down, how would one do that?

I saw that misunderstanding coming and tried to elaborate that it was two different days but apparently I failed ^__^; Mum took me for sushi with my brother, dad took me for pancakes a different day.

The day itself was kind of shit since I worked all day, but I've had fun since. Went to get sushi and pancakes with respective family members.

I saw that they took those mags on the CZ forums [i think?] trying to do a bit of research before making this thread. I've not handled one, sadly, they have a couple CZ 75s at the range I go to but just 9mm, no exotics.

Another JDeko pistol thread! I was watching a YankeeMarshal where he made what he called a "Ghost Gun" by putting silver Aluminum grips on a Beretta 92 Inox so the whole pistol was shiny silver like a stainless steel sink. I kind of want to do that with an EAA Witness 10mm, getting it to look more or less like this: They say that the large frames take CZ 97 mags, does anyone here have a .38 Super, 10mm, or other large frame EAA Witness and were you able to put CZ 97 grips on it? I really don't want to shell out 120 for the Tanfoglio ones.

that was the LRBHO, this is the forward nut/bolt. I loctite'd the LRBHO nut you gave me, and am kicking myself for not throwing some on this nut whilst I was at it. If you think they'd be the same size I could try to get a nut for the bolt you sent me with the first nut, I've been trying to keep it where I know where it is. I've been thinking about how you helped me the first time and how I should've glued both nuts that time.

Legion was not able to help, is anyone able to measure the bolt on their 433 or V12?
