To accurately say that the American people were lied to would require evidence of intent, evidence that the Bush administration knew that what they were purporting wasn't true. I saw it advertised in Shotgun News. It was the same price as the .308 - $698.95. I would like to have one since I already have to feed my Mosins.

My understanding is that the 16" is slightly more accurate due to barrel rigidity. I got it just because I have a "thing" for carbines.
