  2. Google should have a player and you could probably download it from there. There's a few programs out there that will capture flash streams / google streams etc. Its not a regular .wmv or .mpeg etc. ~Steve
  3. Yeah... let's be fun. Juggernaut.... this is for you lol http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...14445&hl=en ~Steve
  4. Since I online game too.... I can't resist.... "Sorry to see you go. Can I have your stuff"? ~S
  5. History is your friend.... http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1818290/posts Charles Whitman Specifically: "About 20 minutes into the attack, civilians started to arrive with deer rifles. They helped police return fire". Let alone the FACT that officers even deputized Alan Crum (a janitor I think) -who just happened to be among the 3 that went to the top and took that guy out. And sadly, the Mary Carpenter story. Worth a watch... (that is part 2... says it all. Part one is there as well if you like). ~S
  6. If guns cause crime, mine are defective -Ted Nugent Why do you need all those assault weapons? Zombies. <gasp>, Duh! Why do you need to own a gun? Well ok. If you had a gun and I was going to shoot you with mine....would you shoot me 1st if you could? Yes or No. Why am I less deserving for self defense? You dont need hi capacity magazines. Why do you feel you do? Well, the logic is "I" will more than likely be only one defending my life. ... The better question is: Since cops have, assault weapons, shotguns, travel in groups of 2 or more, body armor, various tasing
  7. So they can throw the corpse in jail after the atrocity? Makes me feel actually much safer? This simple fact of the matter is this: If the criminal/terrorist doesn't care about the laws like murder, robbery etc... no way in hell they will care about paperwork or restrictions. That's Liberal fantasy. Shouting "hey, you can't bring that in here and shoot people, I'm going to tell on you" means squat too. Anti-gun people want me to lay in a fetal position waiting to be executed while waiting for the superhero troopers to get all dressed up like Darth Vader and then stand behind
  8. I found it... http://www.redstararms.com/ Just on the top of the page -use the search feature. Look for: release you'll find it. ~S
  9. More musings... Tragic that the Student Visa guy in Virginia shot 32 people and then himself. Please note, that he used a .22 and a 9mm pistol with plenty of mags. All day I've listened to talk radio and did some various research on the matter. The overall concept is that it will NOT infringe on our 2nd Amendment rights. In fact, the majority of discussions was: had the CCW laws been LESS restrictive it wouldve probably been a vastly different outcome. Sure, around town you are safe...you can carry there. Criminals, since they dont care about breaking the laws -you know, like murde
  10. I "could" buy as many as I'd like if I was inclined. However, as I cited before, its simply doesnt appear practical nor economical compared to what alternative items I could deploy. Oh yeah...."slinging" a rifle/shotgun is much easier with a mag compared to a drum. Anyway, at that price its purely a novelty item to me. If it was $100-150 I might consider it for fun purposes but not much more. I could see that price if it was adjustable to different shell lengths, modular or easy to retrofit for the Saiga-20 or the Saiga-.410 by changing some part etc. That might be worth it. In my opinio
  11. A few thoughts... 1) IF (that's a big IF) the ATF makes some sort of ruling on it that is "semi" kind and makes it a stamp for the DRUM and NOT make the S12 a Destructive Device... I would want exact, precise, and verification prior to making any such investment. 2) the investment... $319 ..... Bullshit. To me, in my opinion, the cost is outrageous. Keep in mind that you (if the BATF is kind) will have to pay another $200 stamp for the mag. Of course, all this depends on knowing -for certain- what their EXACT stance will be on this. It should be based on material, labor, shipping, li
  12. I wouldn't exactly call it "bad" .... the Saiga will still be picky about types of ammo. Its just that I feel the stopper gives a large contribution to that. With the ridge stopper (shorter ramp, and no flat spot), it will still cycle slugs/buck on the "1" setting with some good reliability. Its when you start shooting "shot" type rounds it becomes questionable. This is due to the points I presented above (in my opinion...but Im no gunsmith). Seeing the pic for the .410 stopper....makes me wonder. I wonder if those type of parts are universal regardless to the gauge. If so, then its prett
  13. Tromix: (just threw on my Kobra sight and a few other things for fun). My original Saiga (no need for main pic): There ya go ~S
  14. Here: Also on other side: RUSSIAN AMERICAN ARMORY COMPANY SCOTTSBURG, IN (of course, the normal: 12x76 18,3) ~S
  15. Out here in Cincinnati area.... just look for an indoor range that allows "shotguns". If they rent them...you can shoot them So long as you obey the range rules (velocity and most likely NO steel shot -lead only or slugs etc is ok) and you'll be fine and watch the jaws drop. The range I go to regularly I can shoot anything in there -except steel shot. All other standard ammo is open season on the range ~S
  16. lol... well, they are in the same annotation. You can tell by the angle at which they rest there. ~S
  17. Serial numbers practically match as well too ....hmmm Less than a 400 number difference~! (stock) H064212xx (Tromix) H064216xx ("xx" for my protection). Must've came from same place -probably the same boat ....so only quality control, part revision change, or "substitute" part makes sense. ~S
  18. Same annotation as my above pictures... Left = Tromix Right = my stock S12. Clearly the stopper from Tromix has a better finish (as I said) and I also noted that it has "ridges" on the ring there....where as, the other is flat flat. This supports my theory that they are 2 different types of stoppers (revisions) coming from perhaps different plants. ~S
  19. The left and right are accurate in the picture. Right = My 1st S12 that is unconverted I bought about a month before at a gun show (new). Left = My 2nd S12 is an original S12 (new)...bought from and then converted to a Tromix probably a month later. Gotta love one stop shopping I know this is accurate based on the black finish (and numbers) between the two. My original one weared off rather easy and the Tromix finish is still nice color to it. No doubts. That would essentially mean that my original (unconverted) S12 "came" that way, and that the Tromix one came that way as w
  20. Officially: The one on the Left in all the pix is from the Tromix (please note the extra cleaning required -hehehe...was a fun day) The one on the Right is from my original S12 Both are identical 109 series base model (with 19" barrel and BHO etc etc). Tromix does outstanding work and isnt the issue. My point was that my original S12 apparently has a different slope for the "2" setting, and a flat spot for the "1" setting. In my opinion, the one on the right peforms better (stock S12 109). The on the left (stock S12 109 then converted by Tromix) performs mostly well -but ha
  21. I have a couple of those picatinny rail forends. If you compare that to the original, you will notice that the plastic does NOT have the "blocks" built into the plastic to go around the mounting block on the barrel (where the screw goes in). What happend on one of mine (after tons of slugs and buck) using a pistol grip on it, the recoil will cause the screw to chew right through that wall of plastic~! Essentially, the "gully" on that picatinny rail forend doesn't have the mass or whatever to support it. How I resolved the issue of the forend from "flying" off going forward? Well.
  22. If you have time... post a pic of before and after. Curious. ~S
  23. From the specs: Bullet Features: Firearm Chamber Length=2 3/4" ----- Brass Case Length=2.45" Kind of confusing to see the overall length being 4" Either it means that they can be made for those 3 1/2" shells ....or cut down to the right size for your needs. "One size fits all" in that regard. Not sure...need someone with real experience on reloading with brass shotgun shells to know for sure (just considering starting out...comparing the cost effectiveness on it though). Like I said... just a thought ~S
  24. The "stopper" (official part name) is what you select "1" or "2" to adjust the gas flow that goes to the piston. Setting "1" is when you use more powerful rounds -such as slugs or buck shot. Setting "2" is when you use lighter rounds -such as game, skeet, or bird shot. Sometimes you can get away with the "lighter" loads on the setting "1"....sometimes you cannot. I own two S12 guns. One is a standard stock, the other is a Tromix. I noted after various testing between the two that some "light" rounds have hard times cycling when on setting "2" (even after "break in" period). S
