  1. Im interested but skeptical if its worth going away from a standard s12. What about aftermarket magwells? Is the bolt and trigger assy the same?
  2. I have been looking at the FrontSight mag on this match and its got a thing comparing Saigas and tubers. Interesting. Wish my pockets were deep enough to go to every match I wanted to.
  3. Looks like a lot of fun. I could really blow my ammo budget on a day like that.

    20 round mag

Just curious if your 20 rounder will work in a magwell gun thats not your magwell?? OR if you will sell a 20 round mag thats just been put togeter and not fitted.
  5. Been watchin both. After watiching the CMMG match I think that is going to be on my list of away games. That and the Ky state and MI state I hope. Tasha Hanish,,,, nice.
  6. Do a magwell and only mod a couple mags and decide. Id bet you will keep it.
  7. It was just a club match but my gun ran perfect today. Only had to do one mag change on the stages. Used the shimed Surfires and it was flawless. Managed to do a double that saved me a reload. The Xrail shooter is the shit though. BUT the Xrail would not exist were it not for the Saiga and hi cap mags.
  8. Adding the #1 spring and the hammer spring from CSS helped. I also did some work on the hammer. Funny thing is the AGPs cycled fine but the SureFire mags would not ignite due to light hammer strikes. After some more work on the hammer its good. I have the Tromix firing pin on the way and will add it as well. I think Im ready to try to get the magwell back on and running.
  9. Yup. The AR platform is head and shoulders ahead in this format. Here is a out of box that will knock the sox off. http://www.bushmaster.com/competition_rifles.asp?cat=16R Then you get into the Compass Lake type custom barrel that shoot in subminute.
  10. Thats what I was thinking and I can do it but my company wont allow firearms on site. Im going back to basics at the moment. Magwell off and gun striped waiting for springs. One other thing I did and forgot I had till today was the Tromix charging handle extension. Its fairly heavy and its off now as well. If I can get it running Id like to put it on but we will see. Thanks for the PM info as well.
  11. Im using the stock gas plug and puck and I have a 4 hole gun and all have been drilled out. I have a gunfixer plug but the stock one seems to be running better which means little when it still runs in fits. Where can I find info or pics of moving the gas block?
  12. Been trying to tune in my gun since I have done quite a bit of work on it. As of yesterday I at least had it running 10 round AGP mags perfectly yesterday. Only thing I did was pull the gas plug and scrape out carbon and wipe it with a dry rag. TODAY at a match I got one mag to run all 10 one time. It was a 150 round speed shotgun match ran on par time. Actually a lot of fun even if I had issues all day. After the match I went and got some 1300FPS AA stuff and it ran a little better. Need to head back to the drawing board so to speak. Seems to have short stroking since a couple times
  13. Bummer. Mine has been great on mine and I have probably put at least 500 rounds thru the gun since I put it on.
  14. I know you do not sell the mid barrel comp as a part but Id like to see a few more pics if you have them and I presume you will install it on a stock handguard setup.
  15. The JT mount is small and very light. and it gets down really low on the gun plus the eye relief distance is about perfect. The holes are for round count. I had a clear mag and layed it next to the other ones and added the distance to mark the 12th round.
  16. IF I could get a hot chick to shoot it!! Rained out today on the range so maybe tomorrow after the wife and I do a bunch of yardwork. I hate mulch.
  17. It just snaps on like normal. The trim is right around where the mount is on the reciever. I marked the points where the mount was on the length and at work got it in a mill and went by the wear marks on the inside for depth. Was a little tricky getting in a vize and had to use a block to just clamp on one side of it upside down. Used 3/8 mill and went slow. Sheet metal is a little dicey to do like that. Could have used a cut off or dremel but this worked and was much cleaner.
  18. 3gun/multigun is the most fun I have shooting. Unfortunatly it also requires the most preperation and gear. aka a jogging stroller for hauling stuff. I did see Burkett a few years ago at a state match haul his long guns in kmart looking soft cases and his mags and ammo in a pickle bucket and yes he won the match. I do the worst at pistol but I still shoot USPSA events as much or more than 3 gun mainly cause there are more of them.
  19. I just finished up my rebuild of my S12. Had a basic conversion before with a warfield but it puked. Had to take a year off from shooting much due to my work hours. Now I am able to get back into multigun/3gun for local stuff this year. I wanted to do some changes and here is how it turned out. It aint pretty but its pretty much what I wanted,, at this point. I have to thank CSS and Jack at JT Eng for the info, tips and answered questions. Jack also did the bolt for me. Unfortunatly Gregg was out of the JT Eng extended mag release and this one is a Ram. Its not bad but I dont ne
  20. Well done. Looks like it is a bitch for the knees on the over 40 crowd. Still like to try it. Must have been a pain to paste and reset.
  21. What a fuckin asshole. Ban him.

  22. Always a good match at a great range. I cant go though. Work is fucked right now and Im stuck on third shift and its got me all jacked up.
  23. Its sad yet funny the way the tube feeders seem to hate Saigas. Why is it these guys who embrace every new devepment in firearms shun the Saiga?? The Enos board is a prime example and it seems that some of them hope that the Saiga is deemed a DD one way or another.
