    so the rail works out? it does seem more practicle than the bulky scope mount! especially for the red dot. but you have to have the regular front hand guard setup for it to work right, right?

    My buddy shot a couple people with his shotgun that were trying to attack him in his house. he didn't get into any trouble - -I was surprised as hell! it was very clear that these guys were armed and his wife was in the closet on the phone with the police, as it was happening. but nobody sued. nobody but the purp's went to jail! a success story, the only one I know of - besides reading in the paper.

    The thing people don't realize is that these guns and the manufacturers make modifications to these guns to make sure that they are not ABLE to be converted into full auto. the AR-15 especially!! those guys put extra metal in their recievers. these poeple are crazy. no one will let the gun people speak! they get villianized! it's crazy!

    they used to sell baurnel all over the place at my local gun shops. it's a little cleaner! used to be a little cheaper too. The guys came up with this weird story of how it was hard to get and all that.

    That's exactly right!! the way the media is carying on, people don't know anything about the origonal awb (94)! they think assault weapons means fully auto, and that criminals will be able to "outgun" the police! Howard stern said it this morning, in the wrong way, and he has 10 million listeners. blames bush for letting it die! kerry Is the biggest gun grabber there is! the people have to know that the 94 ban was a cosmetic joke!!!!! we will wish for those days here pretty soon! too bad I have to vote bush to save my guns - I hate the f'er!!!

    ounce you get it off the first time, or take it all the way down, there's no mystery at all, everythiings soo straight forward and logical. I had to figure out an sks with my buddy, he could remember and I had never took one apart! that was comedy!!!!!!! ak's ten times simpler!

    I think that avatarr, is the shotgun. the trigger moving thing is soooooo easy. nobody makes a buttstock pistol grip/combo we all resisted at first!!!!! a drill and a dremel and you're in........it's sooooo simple you wouldn't even guess. go to the Sheik's website look it over. easy! http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ or a guy named Messaih jones sells a REAL cool cd with pics and all that jazz. look for his post on the for sale or trade section. in the words of rob snider "you can do it!"

    the thing is that: the mags made before the ban have been here all along! I think EAA is the sole importer of saiga stuff they won't comply for a months yet. everyone is waiting for there local chapter of the atf or whoever, to write them telling them what next, or so my gun shop guys tell me! you still have to have the required us parts count, and have to comply to your state laws, as far as clip limits - mine's been 30rnds even throught the awb, we're not really felling the change yet!! it'll be the amount of guns I think, like your avarage mak 90 might go down in price, who knows?

    good idea! hopefully It'll never be that you have to prove yourself, every minute of every day. I think it's abssolutly messed up that we even have to worry about this sort of thing. a gun is a gun is a gun! who the hell cares what or why! the libs think that assualt weapon means fully auto! and that criminals are out gunning the police with these weapons. I think full auto is a serious waste of bullets, I'd take a semi-into battle! sorry -the media is having a hay day with this awb sunset thing -and everybody doesn't know ONE F'N thing about the issue............i'm so pissed! gotta catch m

    Just the shear looks of the gun, might prompt a confrontation like that. I did get questioned one time! because I knew the laws and were familiar with the amount of us parts, all I got was a record check. I was also patient and nice, and the whole thing was on a freindly level - it could've turned bad like that in a minute. what would probably happen would be confiscation, where they could take it back to the station and investigate the whole thing, then you'd have to prove this!     it's mainly just southern cal. L.A. metro, that aren't in touch with reality! it's the movie industry or all the money in the town, or somethin' - they just think they are above everyone else. It takes us a little while to bring them down -that's all!     I was in the gun shop last night, the word here is that they are waiting for a news letter from the atf, or who ever (the governmment guys) telling them the next step. the wholesallers are waiting to see what happens to start selling the bigger mags. EAA told me that 2005 for .308's, I haven't heard about the 7.62X39's, I've SEEN that 30rnd's exist - it's up in the air over if they want to sell them or not. not a problem for me! I do know that I will do what I can to aquire all the asw's I can in the next six months - 'cause that's all I'll give them for a new one! this awb expiration

    Remember, the scope mount costs $40. bsa makes red dots for $35 or so, I'm sorry I don't have alot of experiance with the reflex sites- I imagine the same as the red dot - point and shoot!!! DO NOT BUY THIS SCOPE MOUNT:

    that's a reasonable facsimily- when you do the conversion it'll fit in the buttplate with a spring, that's what it looks like though. they better not jew (just an expression!) me out of mine next week!

    it's the gun cleaning kit! you know, round tube with a brush, cloth holder, some weird screw driver looking thing(i think its a site adjustor), a punch for the firing pin and extrctor. it has slots all the way around it and you use it to get more leverage on that studpind gas tube lever. YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN a cleaning rod too!!!! to put the brush and cloth holder on!!!! here I found a picture you shouldhave gotten a cleaning rod too!!!!!

    hell yea, I'm kinda thinking the ban was let to set for the introduction of a new one - who knows. but it's an issue that no one seems to mind taking a stand on (poloticians). 'Cause not everyone understands guns - most people in the cities fear them, and they vote the laws in! turn off the lights for a few days - like on the east coast last year - you'd see how helpless these people have become. most people don't realize that they are makeing it easier and easier, for some kinda dictator, internal or external, to take control.     $195 - good price, standard - go get it now! Wolf ammo is what this rifle was made for, and that price for the case is standard as well. It's kinda dirty, you should clean after 500 rnds -or you'll unitentionally double fire, because the gas tube(blowback) will get obstructed. this is just my experiance, it's kinda like the sks's - something that comes along with this rifle. the saiga is a ak-47 with provisions for the 1994 ban that is OVER!!!! Made in russia like the gun was intended. IT IS AN EXELLENT GUN! very reliable, FUN AS HELL TOO - I take mine out almost every weekend. STA

    just 'cause this thing is over (yahoo!!!), don't just go all hog wild! there are still things that have to be sorted out in your state, and they still have to have a number of us made parts, I think. write somebody, and ask questions locally TO BE SURE! not -- ALL BETS ARE OFF- is the case! watch out!
