  1. Any posts made after 5pm on Friday/Sat have to be discounted as Alcohol uninhibited!
  2. Which 4x24s for the AKM are actually GOOD mil-spec and not cheap knockoffs? I want the normal high-rise and off to the left. I want to be able to use my irons. Thanks~ SN
  3. Now THAT is something I would take off work for and make the trip to do. Saiga Challenge huh!? We doin rifle too? Or just Shotgun?
  4. I like hiccups, anyone know how to MAKE yourself hiccup? That'd be awesome!
  5. http://manateegunclub.com/ That's the website of the range. Guys, I've been to ranges all over the state, and this is THE BEST range in FL. 1000yrd - 565yrd - 75yrd - 10yrd berms.... Rapid fire is AOK (as long as you are in control). And when we had our shoot last time, we went out to the "Area-51" zone and setup all sorts of fire extinguishers etc etc. and blasted away. It was a Fantastic day. I'm in. Hope to see you all there. Let's get this thing going. A great time was had by all last go around. ~SN
  6. Islam is a peaceful religion in the same way that the Cold War was a peaceful war.
  7. If Mike-D has a working Double-stack 15rd short mag, I'm all over that like a fat kid on icecream-cake.
  8. I'd go .223 for the lighter recoil and cheaper brass ammo. Sure, steel cased ammo is cheaper in x39, but .223 is cheaper in GOOD ammo than x39. I don't own a .223.
  9. My buddy ran 1500 rounds through his S-12 over a week with the KA puck in there. 500 rds isn't excessive, it's just breaking it in. I say 1000rds each! =D
  10. +1 on the Howard Leight. Also, +1 on the Earplugs. Properly worn ear plugs can gain you 30db of noise reduction vs 22db of reduction in most muffs. I cannot shoot indoors with just muffs on, but can do so with no issue with just plugs. Muffs leave my head aching and I loathe every shot... I just hate muffs. For the 50bmg, you need both though.....
  11. When i go to the range, there is only ONE gun i ALWAYS bring.... Saiga-12. But I do enjoy my rifles too!
  12. My Question is: Why, after three weeks, have you not made your own for $3? You bought one? After we showed you how to make one, on the cheap.... and then you complain about costs. July 27, 2009. Talking about AK74 FSB: Boba, you bought the part for $25. The complete bulgy FSB costs near $80... for $3 you can make the pin assembly... solve the problem yourself. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...98&hl=drill
  13. Now where'd you get that fantastic idea!? DON'T USE RED LOCTITE. NONONONONO Only use red loctite on things you NEVER want to take off... ask the guy who used red on the handguard.
  14. After holding an S-12 with a Magpul AR stock on it, i can say, The AR collapsible stock feels better on an AK than it does on an AR.
  15. I had to REALLY beat mine on and twist and turn it with the help of da hamma. I took the set screw out and tried to rotate the FSB the other day and couldn't move it.... once it's on and you put a few hundred rounds through it, it's not going ANYWHERE!
  16. The best is that they're using 7.62x39 SOFTPOINTS... I don't spend the extra money... I'd like to see how it stands up to FMJ wolf.
  17. I was going to add "Also, the drum is an Alliance Armament Wraithmaker 20 round drum, notorious among Saiga-12 enthusiasts because of it's lack of reliability and functionality without a hefty "Reliability" service that Alliance Armament so graciously offers for $180 on top of their $379 drum. A better choice, although not as Movie-Cool looking, is the MD-20 Drum which retails at $260 and doesn't require a $180 service to work." But i can just see trouble written all over that, even though it's all true. ACTUALLY: http://www.alliancearmament.com/saiga12wit...iability-1.aspx
  18. http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Gamer#AKS74U I honestly don't know who had to edit the AKS74U section to read properly....
  19. +1 I run all those things in my S-12 (of course I ported my barrel at 2-3" in front of the gas block so the #2 spring helped with the cycling)....
  20. Ok i did a crappy rendering. The mag (yellow) slides up into the well (Dark Blue Outline) the mag then touches the BACK of the mag well (The portion of the mag in the well is Cyan) and this keeps the mag from rocking backwards and letting the front of the mag fall out of the receiver. Only the magwell and the latch (Pink) are holding the mag up in there. It works.
