  1. You forgot Step 29: Whip out credit card and buy one!
  2. I can't wait until the big brown truck arrives at my front door with the mags! This is great news for the Saiga community and for the 2nd amendment rights and this is really bad news for the liberals!
  3. Isn't Vulcan Armaments the same as Hesse who changed their name to Vulcan? Their website looks professional but I am wondering of the quality of the guns themselves. Anybody know on this situation?
  4. Looks good! I sent him a PM a couple of days ago inquiring about his conversion to G3 mags. Can't wait to hear back from him and whether he'd be willing to do mine.
  5. I was going to offer my extra mag but looks like you just got it in the mail. Keep us posted on the machining. At this rate of waiting and waiting for hi caps I am willing to pay $80 but not more. I'd probably buy two.

    7.62 NATO

Excellent information! Thanks for the tips. I've always been told not to shoot .308 in my MIA way back when I got it because "the brass are dimensionally different." I never bothered to look up the measurements to see if it was true. So now I know to be careful in civvie rifles when using 7.62 Nato cartridges.
  7. I paid $239 for my 16" 308 in Texas. Too good to pass up and I love it. Went to the local mickey mouse gun show in Austin today and saw a guy selling the wood stocked Saigas for $600-750! I almost told him that he was a dumbass but I figured anybody who bought at those prices are dumbasses themselves. I want the accessory kit if EAA replies back to you.

Did you clean the gas port in the barrel? Sounds like the bolt is not cycling all the way to the rear which would indicate not enough gas is working the action. Can't think of what else it could be.
  9. Isn't it illegal to use or modify mags designed for rifle X on rifle Y? I thought it was according to the AWB or 922 or whatever the crap it is on the legal codes. This is a great idea though. I just hope it would be legal.
  10. I would be more inclined to just buy hi cap mags from you instead of converting to G3 mags. However if you cannot or are not able to produce hi cap mags I would be tempted to do the conversion. Not too sure on my Dremel skills. Would hate to ruin a good rifle in order to have more bullets flying down range. I think you would make more money by making hi cap mags for around $25 after AWB dies.
  11. Sounds great. I am eager to see pics and what pricing you end up asking for the kit. I am a do-it-yourselfer but what mods are required on the mags? Any soldering or brazing? Only other thing I'd want for my 16" .308 Saiga is something like the Ultimak rail for red dot type sights. I also plan on a pistol grip conversion soon. Good luck!
  12. A gun nut buddy of mine is insisting that the .308 AK mags for the Yugos that were imported back in the 1980s to 1990s will work in the Saigo .308. I told him that it will not work. He thinks they should work with minor or no fitting required. Anybody try them yet? I'm sure that they are quite expensive anyways. I want hicaps for my Saiga but I think we will have to wait until the AWB dies. Any other ways for hicaps to work?
  13. I hope 20 rounders will be available. Isn't Krebs offering a conversion to M14 / M1A mags? They want $425 ar so to convert to pistol grip which is too high. I think 30 round mags would stick out too far and be too heavy. We can only hope some manufacturer steps up and makes hi cap mags after Sept. Let us know how your G3 mags work!
