  1. Id make sure the scope is mounted tight I had problems at first but the mount is adjustable. My 8x posp was heavy, through off the balance of the gun but once mounted tight my groups stayed where they were supposed to. If you decide a new scope is in order id try a 4x or 6x posp before changing to a different mounting system
  2. 1 moa with 175gr federal gold medal match. The 168 gr black hills never did better 2 inches. I dont like the 8xPOSP though too heavy. sold the rifle in 08 for a couple hundred dollar profit. Im on the boards trying to determine if I want another one with a 16inch barrel or a .223 The accuracy question has brought me full circle though cuz now I reload and could probably do better but sheesh that thing really did a number on my brass.
  3. im gonna assume that includes some type of maintenance program. Most businesses dont provide the same warranties...to other businesses ...municipalities as they do individual consumers. not to mention those may have functionality civilian models dont.
  4. Well I must say there is a lack of 308 autoloaders.... i saw only a couple of ar-10s no m14s couple m1as couple fals and 1 sa-58.... I had the only saiga 308 there. .. Venders were selling vanilla saiga .223s starting at $595 others more. I was stopped on my way in the door by a guy who saw me checking he rifle in with the police...when i told him $600 he told me the low price scared him off and i should raise my price to $800 ... so i did i probably could have had that price but my wife was pressing me to go to the movies so i settled for $700.... considering its converted and that scope r
  5. So i picked up a savage in 270 today though i couldnt afford it and have been flirting the idea of selling my saiga for a couple months.. i just burn through ammo fast and and the brass is usually mangled so i dont even pick it up at the range anymore... enough crying. Im gonna hit the fort worth gun show tomorow and try to sell it. My saiga has been converted to a tromix trigger has the bulgarian skeletonized stock and an 8x posp pro w mildot reticle. It also has a fair amount of scratches though its only about a year old. I never painted the underside.... anyways..... Ive been seeing o
  6. nice job ....try out the 175 gr gold metal match youll probably do aswell or possibly better.
  7. i think the 50 million to 1 number is made up .. besides string theory is crap. And black holes are created by stars becuase of thier mass and the fact they are no longer exerting radiation radiation doesnt follow normal atom structure but has mass none the less and exudes force. I follow the belief are that radiation is the great equalizer to gravityand outward exuding force from the sun ...einstein touched on this but was very vague.... though gamma rays are even shorter wave lengths and travel faster than visible light... we have found that gamma burst from dying stars effect our transm
  8. Well, if you are in WA and close to me I can help you with it. No need to give me your rifle, wil be happy to help another Saiga owner. All you have to do is furnish the parts. The build itself is pretty easy. If you live in the Puget Sound area I can help. Ive pulled it off. Though i wouldnt mind knowledge on finding a decent range. im in Lynnwood. only nearby non members only range is Kenmore ... they only allow me to load one bullet at a time and allow 100 meter shooting. I know theres a gun range in Poulsbo out to 200 meters for nonmembers ..but that means taking the ferry
  9. Im pretty sure i saw a thread on either this forum or another about an ak builders get together one or so weekends a month in houston ... id look around for that thread if not here other gun forums. I took note of it becuase im a Texas native in WA and thought to myself ...damn that'd be nice.
  10. dont know that the price is terribly horrible either seeing as a saiga can run $400 new +$200 for the posp + $50 x4 for the magazines dunno how much for the bipod... ...but your saving on shipping and not paying tax. its not a greate deal but the mark up isnt as much as you would think..... edit...$200 was for the pro d with us mil dots ...it about 160 for the plain one... so marked up more than i originally thought
  11. one disadvantage 308 ammo is freaking expensive. i dont like the 147gr stuff ..for me it doesnt have the accuracy i desire... I picked up 2 boxes of Black hills 168gr match ..the sierra hollow points ...49.99 after tax... they were $22.99 for a box of 20 before tax .. they had the ppu 168grain stuff for 17.99 a box but from what ive read its not particularly accurate. i dont shoot so much that i need a nice reloader but im thinking about getting a cheap lee classic loader.... and loading 20 to 40 at a time to save on ammo.
  12. thats the stock hes talking about. its pretty rockin... changed the way my rifle handles by quite a bit at tick byte its the bulgarian ak buttstock
  13. ive dropped mine in aswell and im having a safety issue aswell. it has to be directly on the s not above it at all .. then if i pull the trigger with the safety on then select fire it releases the hammer.. but if im manualy push the trigger forward it doesnt..im still trying to figure out whats wrong...ha its a sticky...lol
