  1. That stock is sweet. So you pull the lever to extend it, or what?
  2. Yes, I do think you should be locked up somewhere because your lack of maturity and because you stole. Silly prank in your drunken stuper could have netted you some VERY serious legalities. As previously stated if your drunk and kill someone it's still murder, you steal and your drunk it's STILL STEALING....not a prank. You stole with reckless disregard and you should be in jail because of it. I think you're missing the point here. I wasn't out to steal anything, like I've stated multiple times. And yes, you're right, it did net me "some VERY serious legalities." But like I said, I
  3. I guess you have no desire to speak to me either because I would have charged you with the same thing. Stealing is stealing regardless if your drunk or not. Thats like saying the drunk driver didn't commit murder well.....because he was drunk and didn't mean to. The cop did you a favor by "only" choking you out if that what you say he did because if I had seen you trying to steal my vehicle; front loader or not; I would have felt completely justified in shooting your ass seeing as I was protecting myself as you drove towards me...;;wink wink. Yes, you got off scott free but one d
  4. How many or y'all actually go to a range, and how many of y'all just have a good place to shoot for free. There's a place called the FOP (fraternal order of police) range about 20-25 minutes out of town that I've been too, but they are super strict about how you shoot and whatnot, ie no more than 1 round a second, must have BHO, etc, so I don't really like going up there. Instead, I've found a spot about 10 minutes out of downtown Birmingham where I can totally wreck shit, or patiently shoot my .308 at what I perceive to be about 150 yards. I haven't measured it yet. But the place is super saf
  5. What are the pros/cons of this stuff? Obviously one of the pro's is that it's cheap. I saw it in the catalog, and was a bit perplexed.
  6. By legal definition, stealing is when you take something with the intent of making it your own. We had not the means (a trailer, chop shop, whatever) nor the desire to steal a piece of construction equipment. My point was that it was pretty obvious what was going on, and these guys decided to try to fuck us, actually, seemed to take great pleasure in trying to fuck us. Keep in mind, I didn't act like an asshole until they started talking shit. They had my identification, that should answer any questions that they may have.
  7. That guy lost me at "You go girlfriend," I'm not trying to listen to that shit. That being said, I'll admit to the cops when I've committed a traffic infraction, and try to play it off and sometimes they'll just let it ride. If not, I'll go to court and usually the officer doesn't show up, and the case is dismissed. I haven't had to question any cops in court, but I'm pretty sure if I didn't make an ass of myself at the time of the incident, then I could ask them simple questions about the incident and they wouldn't remember too terribly much, considering that 2 or 3 months has passed sin
  8. I know this probably makes me an asshole, but I think it's funny when my AK's eject shells into someones head when they are shooting at a 10" steel plate at 100 yards with their scoped AR, and I'm hitting the same plate consistently with my iron sighted AK.
  9. The good old days piss me off. Of course I'm glad that a lot of folks got their guns for sub-$300 prices, but I'm also super jealous. I got a good deal on mine when I picked it up for $450 a couple of months ago. College really pisses me off. The whole time I was in school being broke and getting a degree that I wouldn't use, I could have been working a labor job and collecting badass fire arms that were going to go up in price.
  10. thanks, I have started debating the internal block again. I can't make up my mind.
  11. That's pretty funny. The Gucci one would definitely be good for hunting peacocks.
  12. Hey, I've got my conversion kit sitting here, and am having second thoughts about using the internal receiver block. I really don't want to cut the back of the gun, I just don't feel comfortable doing it to my S12 (if it were a couple of years ago, it would be a different story). Also, I read that the folding stock won't clear a drum with the internal block, so I think I'm going to go with the external block. I have plans for the internal block, involving a romanian .223 AK and a 6 point collapsible stock. Anyway, is this the external block that I would want to get? http://riflestocks.co
  13. That's going to be a mean looking .308 when you finish.
  14. The gun show is the weekend, I'm going to see if I can find a deal on one, if not, I'll order one from somewhere online in the next couple of weeks.
  15. Yeah, I was looking at some of them on the kalinkaoptics site, and I saw that they had the SVD and the AK variants. I had planned on getting the AK style mount. This will fit, while the SVD will not, correct?
  16. I am glad you like that Ver 21. I really enjoy this forum. I have learned a lot from you guys since I have joined. I think at some point I need to start reloading to save some $$$. The only problem is that I hear that hobby eats up tons of time. From what I understand, if you get a multiple stage reloader, you can basically crank out ammo pretty damn fast. That's the way my buddy described it and convinced me to go in with him on the reloader, so we'll see, as soon as I get my stimulus check.
  17. BTW, I sent the plugs to deerollman on friday, so they should be there at the beginning of the week. Thanks again hunter121.
  18. Just to clarify (because, while I'm a fairly intelligent person, I sometimes have difficulty processing simple concepts ), a PSOP 8X will clear the rear site? Or should I opt for something a bit smaller?
  19. Cool, thanks. I see, it's not a matter of the mount actually fitting on the rail, rather a matter of the larger tube clearing various obstructions. One of the reasons I started looking at these systems was because I couldn't see the iron sight with my tapco mount. I'd like to still be able to use the iron sights with the optics. I have the skeleton stock with the cheek rest on my 21" .308, I picked it up at the gun show for $50 a couple of months ago. As far as I know it is well suited for use with optics. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  20. .308 is 7.62X51, if that's what your looking for. If you can find that place that was selling the battle packs for $45 definitely post that link up here, but I have a feeling you may have imagined it. Here is a link to ammoman.com. He has the most consistent best prices as far as I've found, everything is including shipping. Just click on the .308/7.62X51 in the blue box at the top. http://ammoman.com/index.htm
  21. I'm getting a bit confused now. What's the difference between the POSP and the POSL? If they all have the same mount, why wouldn't the POSP 8X fit on yours?
  22. Not sure how to get you that. It seems paypal automatically generates them. I think you must have paid by MO if you didn't get one. Sorry. Jake Don't worry about it, as long as it's headed this way I can keep my eye out for it.
  23. So your .308 has the rail that slides the mount on from the front, and that's why the POSP won't fit on it? I ask because I'm wanting to purchase this scope for my saiga .308, and mine has the rail which the mount slides on from the back.
  24. Thanks for all the responses y'all. A few months ago, I was talking to a friend of mine that knows a lot more about guns and general gun stuff than myself, and we were discussing buying a good reloading machine, I think it was called a multi-stage reloader. But if we get that, I will definitely be buying reloading supplies instead of ammo. I talked to him today, and we pretty much came to an agreement to go in on one when our stimulus checks get here. Damn it US GOVERNMENT, stimulate me already!!!!
