if you get a taurus millenium make sure it is the millenium pro I have a pro i carry ccasionally and like it also the millenium uses the same holster as my HK compact but I have to applaud the springfield 1911 ultra compact nice gun mine is a ported stainless I LOVE IT My wife carries a taurus titanium 5 shot .357

saigailova has it right I have a Saigai, m1a, ar-10, and a g3 I love them all I'd have to say the m1a is the most accurate then the ar-10 the g3 and saigai are about the same but if you want real accuracy buy a bolt action But most of us don't buy saigais and the like for 400 yard shots at prairie dogs out west that what the heavy barrelled varmit rifles are for as a side note if you ever get the chance to go dog shootin GO! Its a blast and no matter what the pros tell you find a good den and your saigai is good enough most shots are around 100 yards

yes it would be legal to do after the AWB sunset you can manfacture new or modify high cap mags from other guns to fit yours

i am sure magazines will be available in the next month or so they were already making mags marked LEO/Govt use only you can now legally own these there are couple web sites selling them already the same web sites also state that the new unmarked mags will be on the shelves in 4 to 6 weeks I already own a couple marked mags that just showed up at my local gun shop so I picked them up quick Everyone I know thinks it is pretty cool to have marked mags

according to the expired AWB if a rifle had more than 2 of the "evil" features it was considered an assualt weapon the fact that a gun could accept a high capacity mag was one of those features whether you used one in it or not that is why you could buy an AR or AK with a pistol grip but no flash hider, folding stock or bayonet lug another example is my springfield m1a1 it could accept a 20 round mag and it had a flashhider but the bayonet lug that was on pre-ban m1a1 flash hider mount was missing whether the ny law considers the detachable mag a "evil" feature i don't know but
