Im in need of advise on choice of ammo for this event : http://www.panamericanshotgun.org/index.html the offical match ammo supplier is : http://www.gamaliel.com/cart/pages.php?pageid=55 list is half way down the page. Flying in from the UK with my Saiga is ok but cannot bring ammo & i have to pre order the rounds & have no idea of the best combination of bird/buck/slug as your brands are not available over here from the stuff on Gamaliel's list. This event is going to be great with over 300 competitors of all standards enjoying 4 days of just shotg
  2. iv been sent this link to the offical ammo supplier : http://www.gamaliel.com/cart/pages.php?pageid=55 Since you ammo brands /loads are different to whats available in the UK , would one of you advise on bird/buck/slug thats going to run in my Saiga ?? I was thinking of : Winchester heavy target birdshot Winchester 9 ball buckshot Winchester 1 oz slug. not worried about the price just need it to work If any of you attending fancy meeting up for a meal first rounds on me Im staying in Bowling Green ( where ever that is ) 26th july to 2nd august
  3. Have to agree reloading is they way to go Im using lee 1 oz slug in a new primed fiocchi case ,vp05 wad & 19g of reddot. Just shot a slug stage at a recent tournament & scored straight a's. The vp05 wad is ideal as a lee slug fits straight in at the right height. Tried to star crimp in my mec press but the rounds were opening up so switched to roll crimping, accuracy is as good as or better than any of the factory rounds iv tried.
  4. First MD drum to be used in the UK ................... just dont ask how it got here
  5. <Link Removed> Planet are the Euro distributors based in Germany although more expensive than Russia. The owner is Dirk Frey the top Open class shotgun shooter in Germany, take a look at the custom Vepr 12 & Saigas on his web pages.Selling parts to the US should be no problem for him. Over here in the Uk a local dealer in looking to import Vepr 12's from Germany although we have a minimum barrel law of 24" & all the Euro models are currently in 19" at the moment. A basic pistol grip saiga from Rusmilitary will be £ 1000 ( $ 1600 )from april & the Vepr's should wor
  6. Latest factory news as seen on Rusmilitary today : All new saiga 12's will come with FACTORY lrbho. My guess is that Saiga took the Lrbho from the Molot vepr 12 as they now own that company . will post more info asap.
  7. Hi every one , im looking to come over & shoot the 2010 Panam shotgun tournament this july in KY & would welcome suggestions on birdshot ( no 6 shot ) buckshot ( 9 ball ) and slug as im allowed to bring over my Saiga 12 but no ammunition so will have to buy once in the States , either local ( Cave City KY ) or online for delivery to motel from Midway or Ctd ?? Looking for 1000 bird & 300 buck & slug- quality ammo. any of you attending or live local ?? thanks a lot, David.
  8. http://www.panamericanshotgun.org/ Any of you to compete at this event ? A few of us from the UK are looking to come over & it would be great to meet up with other Saiga 12'ers. Iv looked over on the Brian Enos forum but not much as been said so far on the venue. ATF have been very helpfull on sorting import permits although were have to buy birdshot/sg & slug once in the US.Whats the current prices on quality ammo & which brands/loads are any of use using in tournaments in your saigas ? Thanks a lot. David.
  9. Ok so who saw anything new for the Saiga 12 at the Shot Show ???
  10. I had a JD original magwell fitted ( Agp mag type ) , will your magwell fit in the holes allready drilled ?
  11. Slug is more for the few wild boar were starting to see in local woods : most escaped from meat bred farms. Now your fox is more suited to buckshot ! your not German ............ crap i was looking forward to " dont mention the war " jokes & such like. One of my mates just shot the fortbenning 3-gun & a lot of us come over on a regular basis to shoot & shop !
  12. Waffen i recall another German gent a while back thinking Britain was unarmed & there for the taking . ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Any sane UK members looking to shoot psg ( practical shotgun ) i attend most of the UK tournaments & can point you in the direction of Clubs looking for new members. My own club shoots on two ranges Romsey & Basingstoke both in Hampshire.
  13. WTF .................... Where's this Bs anti UK hate coming from ? Getting back on track : yes those of us who hold a Firearms certificate ( issued by police) are allowed a limited number of firearms, shotguns that hold more than 3 rounds are classed as firearms.Usually you have to shoot ipsc ( Ukpsa ) to be allowed to own one. Drums are legal but way way overpriced here , the last MD drum i saw was $1000 & an AGP mag $ 150 !!!!! Its legal for an individual to send me a drum or mags - some USA stores will not as they assume an export licence is required.
  14. With you Yanks hosting the 2010 Panam shotgun event it may be worth some of you coming over to Germany in May to shoot against some of the Euro competitors that will be taking medals at your event ! Although this is any open event with 200 shooters all levels will be welcomed & your get to see some very nice, very fast Vepr 12 users. Importing your own shotguns should be straight forward, although im happy to share my Alex Wakal D1 Saiga if a few of you want to be squadded with me ? Here's the match info : www.ipsc-dvc.org Its 12 stages : with bird shot , slug & sg : ammo pric
  15. Non of the American competitors turn up for the event due to i understand change of Country/venue late in the day ...... however the 2010 World Championships are being held in the USA so were all get to see Molot V Saigas in what could be the biggest gathering of Open Class shooters with box fed guns. The non American's will be allowed to bring over their guns on a special import licence. I cant wait to take on my friend Alex Wakal .......... Note to self - PRACTIC RELOADING FAST.
  16. The IPSC custom Vepr 12 is Euro 3500 about $ 5000 ( yes 5000 ) comes with 4 x 10shot mags, 1 x 15 shotmag:all mod work & reddot sight.Do a vepr search on his website. Thats a lot of cash.
  17. Molot Vepr 12 being used at the World Shotgun Championship in CZ by German top shooter Dirk Frey. Note the easy reloading 15 round mag !! He makes custom Velpers : [EDITED]
  18. Euro trash version of the wrathmaker drum ............ In action at the Esco9 World shotgun Championships ( no team USA in attendance ). http://www.youtube.com/user/saigavalle#play/all/uploads-all/0/ZMcu8-hGdak A large number of European competitors were offered a deal to compete with them, not the most reliable BUT when an MD drum is unavailable or the scumbag " offical MD " imported wants over $1000 a drum theres not much option. Mike D if your reading this make me you distributor as your just not represented well outside the USA Lots of both Saigas & molot vepr 12's were

Over here we have MOD Police ( ministery of defense )that are armed with Mp7 & Mp5's & are tasked with the security of nuclear & military facilitys :same powers as a Police officer but armed , they have TSG ( tactical support ) in addition .( think SWAT ) However the Nuclear Police are a seperate force totaly armed to the teeth with machineguns, granade launchers & an assortment of 50cal rifles. This is the last line of defense at certain Nulcear sites.
