ozone_00 3
Would it be possible and legal to swap out the welded-on choke for a threaded bbl extension like the one Tony made a few months back? I don't have a S12 yet and I'm seriously wanting one, but I'd like a threaaded muzzle.
Integratedj 1
Not if the choke was added on as a fix to bring it up to legal length. If you do change it out to one of Tonys, You will need to weld on the new FH/MB to make it a perm part of the barrel. IJ
IndyArms 10,186
Just remember... in the infinite wisdom of the ATF... If you remove the welded on brake from a legal length shotgun, you have just created a SHORT BARRELED SHOTGUN (SBS) Which is now in violation of the NFA rulings... and IT IS ILLEGAL TO REASSEMBLE A LEGAL LENGTH SHOTGUN FROM AN SBS!!!! You must first REMOVE the barrel, THEN remove the welded on muzzle attachment, then reattach a threaded barrel extension, then repress on the barrel to the receiver, and you are good to go... At least thats the proper "legal" way to do it... Makes a TON of sense, doesnt it?!?!?!?!? I agree... TOTALLY FUCKED UP!!!

I wouldn't be the one doing the work, so the pain in the ass wouldn't be mine, but the pain in the wallet would be. Any word on how long it will be until the next shipment? Probably too long, I'm sure.
