jbauch357 0
Since I haven't seen one yet, I'll go ahead and ask... Does anybody offer an all-in-one conversion kit for the 7.62x39 Saiga? Not looking for a full on 100% conversion kit, just the bare minimum new parts to do the job. I was thinking: - Trigger group - Stock - Pistol grip - Feed ramp - New fasteners for drilled axle pins Am I forgetting anything? New bottom plate?

New bottom plate? there have been 3 groupbuys in the WTS section, with the 3rd being the last, I believe. I would definitely be interested in another one, being I missed them. PacketStorm 0
That is one of the reason's I used Tapco. They had almost everything I needed in stock. The only thing they didn't carry was the bullet guide. They also ship fast. I got my orders within 3 days of placing them.

chupacabrah 0
it seems I can build my own kit for cheaper than the group buy, with the spefic parts that I want - I just worry that I'm leaving something out... jbauch357 0
(but none of your links work) they all work for me, if you copy/pate them they won't work cause the forum automagicallytm shortens them in the post - just click and they all work...

elvis christ 451
You're probably going to need some sort of block to attach your stock to the receiver. That's another $50-$60. I don't know if that stock will bolt right up to the receiver.

I don't know if that stock will bolt right up to the receiver. It'll work, no receiver block needed. Any stock for a stamped receiver will work with Saigas. captzeno 5
I modded my first X39 with one of the first group buy kits. The reason for the added expense on the group buy was the ACE folding stock. They ain't cheap. The group buy was an excellent deal considering what you got.

jbauch357 0
Nice post and good info! What I ended up doing was going to Harbor Freight and buying a $40 drill press plus $20 dremel kit. Other than those two items I had everyghing else I needed already in my tool box. The conversion went really fast and easy, I made a couple further custom changes (shortened BHO lever, and ground down then polished the hammer) and am headed out today to shoot and see how it goes...
