gtnichols 51
To keep things relevant, and apples to apples,... There are several categories Brakes should be judged by: 1. It keeps the front end down ++++ 2. It hides the flash ++ 3. It does both Number 1 and 2 above +++++ 4. It looks cool + 5. It has pointy things for "Less than lethal persuasion"+ 6. It is part of ,.. or can be installed with a front sight +++ 7. It reduces felt recoil by directing the Blast Backwards +++ 8. It has historical design influences that may or may not include any of the above or below. + 9. It is like having a nine barreled shotgun in one. +++ For items Numbers 1-4 and #6 My vote is for the stock front sight combo brake like on the saiga 12 website that is "out of stock" Dinzag's Sight Brake combo meets #8, #6. #4, and #2, but i have not heard reports about function. The new Tromix brakes meets #4, #7 and #2, from what I have heard/seen on this forum. The poly choke meets #9, #8 (American design), #4 from my experience. Hmmm, did I leave anything out?? Oh,.. and there's always: a. Threaded b. Weld - on and,.... the dreaded XXX, Camerons new spring loaded spike shred thingy!
ML Roak 0
Ive got a plan drawn-up for an AK style slant brake for my S-12, thought I'd put teeth on the front lip to act as a breacher. There are many decent designs out there for Saiga 12 brakes. You can just about take your pick.

What about the brracuda brake that elitefirearms.com has? I am basically looking for something that can eventually be duracoated and great for recoil control. thank you

caliberclark 9
Despite looking around and searching all options I still want to throw the topic out there and continue to get the excellent opinions from the members of this site. I am simply just taking advantage of the wonderful Saiga 12 forum.
RollingThunder 0
Home made JP-style brake using a barrel choke for threads. Picture Reduces recoil and muzzle flip. Enhances bang by pushing sound/gas back towards the operator.
