Just called in a favor and scored two Superior Arms lower receivers today. Got them $110.00 apiece they were last ones and are out now. :haha:

Can't wait to think of what to build next with them, my buddy is already wanting to buy one off me. lol

Build 'em sooner than later. The new Form 4473's as of Nov. 15 specifically ask if you are purchasing a receiver only as opposed to a rifle. Think they are planning ahead for a possible AWB.

I seen the new form today and where it says about a receiver or long gun or hand gun. Yes someone is fishing to see what we are buying and what we are doing with them.

And yes the parts for the lowers on GB are going crazy now. :ded:

Here's one that's not priced too crazy (although the "Buy It Now" is effing ridiculous): http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=116622033

Here's some more:

Obviously the prices are up from before :( .

I think the form is asking if it's a whole rifle trying to cut down on tax cheats... I have seen dealers that sell all the parts in one box and the lower in another to get out of paying the 11% or so tax on the rifle. So the ATF is going to use that form to nab dealers for not taxing the whole sale.

Could be, but I doubt it's that elegant a plan. Still think they are getting their ducks in line for a possible ban.

its interesting whats happening with the panic buying, how fast could a bill actually get passed, then go into effect?

Overnight in a late night session like they did with the streetsweeper. Maybe 30 days and it's in. If you didn't see the hand writing on the wall about 2 years ago and didn't prepare your to late and are going to get took on prices for parts.

I don't think Obama will do anything but sign any ban and let who ever writes it take the heat and he's clean with the excuse of if it comes across my desk i'll sign it.
