So, here's what I've found, if you guys have any suggestions, I'd like to here them to. armorshrike 1 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Share Posted December 31, 2008 (edited) I had a UTG Quick Detach for a while, they are a bit heavy but are centered on your rifle nicely. I sold mine at the last gun show though, some kid offered me $60 bucks lol. I'd go with the BP-02 but you might want to cut it down some, theres a thread somewhere about this.. BP-02 will run for about $60 after shipping MTK-83 will run for about $40 but are high up on your rifle, not good for reddot. No idea how the ProMag side mount is quality wise but it states you can use both irons and scope... The mount attaches directly to AK-47 type rifle with the attaching iron of the left hand side of the receiver. The mount is locked in place by three Allen head screws. the screws draw the mount against the rifle scope rail. The mount is designed to hold zero after removal. The mount is designed so that the iron sights and the scope may both be used. Accepts Weaver style rings on the Picatinny rail. I would like a low one myself and it looks low but I have zero first hand experience with it. Oh and Aim Surplus has it for 20 Bucks. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

According to their description the bargain bin items are scratched or cosmetically defective but are completely functional. Fine with me (I myself am cosmetically defective). Link to mount is here.
