Guest pm
Does it get too high when installed to a side mount?
Onepoint 0
I dont have a Eotech, but do have ATN holosite. Yeah they are high on standard mount, but I magine on one of the low profile ones they will work fine. It isnt so important to cowitness the iron sights since you can remove the mount if needed. zipgun 0
Isn't that kinda like putting a prom dress on a pig?
IndyArms 10,186
Yeah.... but if you like your pig to be all dolled up and sexy... GO FOR IT!!! Thats how I like *MINE*!!!! LOL
KySoldier 2
If I had one of those EO sights sitting around, I'm sure I'd try it on my S-12.
k_dawg 0
Holo and reddots are designed for shorter range, quick action: perfect for a good AK :-)
Onepoint 0
Yeah I thinkthey are a little less overkill than the 10x POSP scopes.
bobaloo 0
I've got one of Tantal's PK-AS-V on my 7.62, it's an incredible sight. Took my teenage daughter out this last weekend and she was busting clay birds at about 80 yards, hitting them about 80 percent of the time on the first shot, and I give the credit to the sight. It's so easy for a beginner to use, just put the red dot where you want the bullet to go and squeeze the trigger. Highly recommended, but they are fairly expensive, I paid about $215 for it, just wish I could afford a few more.
Tomac 0
I tried the Eotech on my 5.45 AKs and while the sight is excellent it sat too high for me (little or no cheekweld). Now I use the PK-AS (original version that sits low/left so the irons are unobstructed) on all my AK's & Saiga shotguns. Tomac
zipgun 0
Yeah.... but if you like your pig to be all dolled up and sexy... GO FOR IT!!! Thats how I like *MINE*!!!! LOL Well you can dress 'em up but they are still just pigs. I think a $30 red dot is just about right for an AK.

Tokageko 8
zipgun: No, no, no... you've got it all wrong. A saiga is an antelope type animal. TYe VEPR, now that's a pig... well, more like a wild boar, but you get the point. hehehe So honestly, you wouldn't put a top-dollar sight on ANY AK? Seriously, what about the VEPR? Maybe on an arsenal AK? The new ones seem to be going for about the same as ARs now. How about a Galil? Come one... You can't seriously tell us you wouldn't? Ok, seriously though, what weapons would you consider putting an EOtech holo-sight on?
JiiKoo 0
So honestly, you wouldn't put a top-dollar sight on ANY AK? Why not? I have it on my Saiga 12.

Onepoint 0
Aw I was hoping to hear some reason I hadn't thought of so I wouldn't consider spend so much on optics.
