BennyB747 0
Well I've been attempting to finish my Saiga today and I've gotten everything done but I can't get the shephards hook to fit in and get the pins through. Is this always such a major pain? I'm attempting to put it in via this method... Any help is appreciated! http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremovalm3.htm Here is the style shephards hook I have It isn't the same but it's all I could find. gpqueen 545
http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=36316 Watch the video. It is about 5min into it. Greg
Bounce12 407
I had trouble with THIS EXACT THING TODAY. LOL The CarolinaShootersSupply videos are great. Funny, but I had more trouble with the Shepard's crook than I did the BHO. The BHO has notoriously been the sticking point.
dannyfantasy2000 68
They both gave me a world of trouble, but the BHO spring was really the sumbitch. I used the "floss method" except instead of pulling it down in line with the pin, I started with the pin already through the loop and then pulled the leg up onto the BHO. RABIDFOX50 6
I have got to get me a proper hook. The one I am using is a modified original and is a PITA to install. The C.S.S. videos are outstanding though.
gunnysmith 4
Under the hammer pin over the trigger pin is still the simplest way.
clifton 354
still a bugger but it gets better...with time
BennyB747 0
I got it figured out and managed to get it in there albeit a pain it's done! I also bent the BHO spring on the end like in that video and it was easy to install then. Thanks for the help everyone. Here's my finished Saiga 12 http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=39112
DrediKnight 0
Anyone have any tricks for getting the shepherd crook out? I'm stripping it down for a duracoat. Nevermind.. got it out. Just needed a little more muscle... Edited July 8, 2009 by DrediKnight
