vbrtrmn 167
Good news for law abiding citizens in Tennessee! Proposal Stopping Confiscation Of Guns Now Law http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.a...tType=Printable Posted: May 23, 2009 10:15 PM (AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A person who legally possesses a gun would not have it seized during periods of martial rule under a proposal that has been signed into law by the governor. The measure was signed by Gov. Phil Bredesen on Thursday and takes effect immediately. Sponsors say martial rule is the same as martial law at the federal level. They say the law is necessary after law enforcement in New Orleans went door to door seizing weapons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Republican Sen. Jack Johnson of Brentwood, one of the sponsors, has said he doesn't expect such behavior in Tennessee, but believes legislation should be in place just in case. Other than that, it's a great place. nope. cost $115 (4 years) the first time,$50.00 to renew and NO gun is registered. You can carry any handgun and carry as many as you want, any method you want to carry. You can carry it concealed or on a string around your neck.
termite 463
Well here in Alawama, the permit is only $7.50 a year, carry any concealable "handgun" you want. Now if I could just figure out how to conceal my V53P with the Beta drum. :)
gunman1 1,753
Very good news, very glad for Y'all. However, I have a terrible feeling that this asshat Moran is going to be the next Gov. of Virginia and we're going to be screwed
greenego 0
As a side note. The TN house just overrode the governor's veto of allowing gun's to be carried where alcohol is served.
t165 30
I'm glad to live in the great state of INDIANA! Purchased a lifetime carry permit last year which applies to any firearm I wish to carry. No worries or troubling myself with renewing. No registration of firearms. Cost was around $150.00 IIRC. Indiana is a "shall" issue state also.
