The Russians use and external tube to run their linkage on their Bullupped Draganov Sniper rifle. If thier doing it.....why not? I never said that it was a sure thing that the mechanism was external. I said that it "APPEARS to attach directly to the trigger of the weapon, after running along the outside of the receiver, underneath the covers that stretch the length of the gun." I have never held a Kushnapup, let alone been able to examine how it is linked together. I have just been able to look at what everyone else has been able to look at on the Kushnapup website. I based my statement on the observation of how large the linking mechanism is, and the knowledge that there is not that much room beside the magazine to run a rod of that diameter without something not working in the gun.
