22_Shooter 1,560
Heading to AC, New Joisey on Sunday through Wednesday with my girl................. Any NJ'ers here have any advice on some things to do? Besides casinos of course. Any only-known-to-locals type places we should see? Good restaurants? We went a couple years ago, and pretty much just hit the casinos and the beach (also went to an aquarium). We plan on heading over to Philly for a day, to go to Dave & Busters, as we don't have one up here, and I've been wanting to check it out.

I really can't recommend anything off the beaten path. I like the Pier at Ceasars. The boardwalk is fun. The Walk is cool if you want to do some shopping. The Latin Quarter has some great bars. I think Philly has more to offer, honestly.
RobRez 1,895
If you like Italian food try the "Baltimore Bar" in Atlantic City. They have homemade ravioli and meatballs, oh and Italian sausage! My folks live near A.C. so I have been there a few times. And they serve booze 'til the wee hours! I think Philly has more to offer, honestly. Thanks for the heads up. Honestly, I don't want to spend anymore time in Philly than just going to D&B's. I have an exgirlfriend who lives there. Not that we're on bad terms or anything, but I'd like to avoid any awkward situations with my current girl. "Philly's HUGE!! No way you'd run into her" you say? I've got just that kind of luck. Trust me. If you like Italian food try the "Baltimore Bar" in Atlantic City. They have homemade ravioli and meatballs, oh and Italian sausage! My folks live near A.C. so I have been there a few times. And they serve booze 'til the wee hours! I love me some Italian food. We'll have to check that place out. Any "classy" gentlemen's clubs in AC? I'm going to try to convince my girl to go with me.
RobRez 1,895
Classy? Hmmmmm... Too many sketch-balls in A.C. I'd try asking a dealer or bartender in one of the casinos "High-Rollers clubs" if you want to try to find a nice place. But, Hey!!!! Good luck on convincing the lady!! If you do, share some advice!LOL I used to live in Philly, I never go back. Don't forget to go see "Lucy" the elephant in Margate, a few miles south of A.C. she is a hotel built in the form of an elephant. Pretty cool.

Definitely gotta go check that out. If I convince my girl to go, I'll share the knowledge . Funny though, the girl I spoke of, who lives in Philly.......she would willingly go to strip clubs with me when we were dating.

MagicMan 0
This state sucks. There is nothing to do but gamble & get a hooker & blow in AC.
aresv 49
Growing up in central Pennsylvania, my family used to "go down the shore" every summer. Cape May is a very pretty beach town full of historical victorian homes. Wildwood is more family oriented. Then there's Atlantic City if you want casinos and stuff. South Jersey has lots of fresh tomatoes and sweet silver corn in the summertime. It's mostly suburbs and farms, though. Honestly though, DE, MD and VA beaches are nicer. Camping on Assateague, parties in OCMD, and less Jersey BS. As for "Jersey Lite"... Philly may have its faults but at least they have a river to keep the worst at bay. Ever notice that the Wallt Whitman bridge only has a toll when you LEAVE Jersey?

loki0629 55
If you're into seafood like crabs, check out Crabby's in Mays Landing on Route 50. For Italian food check out Joe Italiano's Maplewood Inn on the Black Horse Pike also in May's Landing. Both places are about a half hour from Atlantic City. As far as strip clubs go, Daydreams in Philly is a BYOB place and is really popular with bachelor parties. Because they don't serve alcohol the girls get naked completely (or so I've been told). Even though it's in Philly, I'm sure you're not going to run into your ex there...right?
