Suburban 0
I'd swear that I read somewhere that there's supposed to be a gap between the shoulder of a stock, and the rear end of an AK-47 receiver. Had something to do with recoil. I've done a couple 'net searches, and searched the tech section, and found nothing. Anybody know what this is all about? I've got a new K-Var NATO-length stock, and I want to find out what the deal is before I drill the holes.

Blackjack_21 0
I had the same problem until I did some Dremel work to the stock. I bought one of the K-var NATO length models in black, and ended up with the same problem. I fixed the gap, but I made the mistake of drilling my holes 'before' I had the gap fixed. 3ac6ucb 24
Aftermarket stocks are sized large so that they'll fit without wiggling in even the thinnest of stamped receivers. You may need to file/sand/dremel/whatever to get a stock to fit inside. If you think it's a tight fit with a Saiga, try a 1.6mm receiver
