I bought the same "US MADE" quad rail only to find that nowhere on the part or packaging was it labeled as us made. Hope nobody is relying on that for 922 compliance.

Not really, Im compliant with the 922r. trigger, disconnecter, piston,PG<---this is enough right here] &stock for good measure. If I change out mags, muzzle attachment, and include the forearm, im down to 5 foreign parts. So im good, but thanks though. http://jobson.us/922r/

I'm not a big fan of the Ugly Terrible Gear quad rail either.

But to each their own.

Enjoy.

Funny you would mention rails and Ugly Terrible Gear....

The little portion of rail under this gorgeous handguard is that wierd looking rail extension off of a UTG AK quad. I always hated it and noticed it would be perfect for just mounting a vert grip. Now.... that particular piece is no longer Ugly Terrible Gear, lol. Oh yeah, the cost of the whole build:

$562 Saiga 12, shipping, and transfer fees

35 Fake triangle stock

30 Handguard

20 MD Molot grip

7 Tapco grip screw and bushing

35 evlblkwpnz modified Tapco G2 :smoke:

6 10-32 screws (have some left over)

20 ETAC puck

80 Larue LT-FUG vert grip

Total $785.00

ETA: I don;t have the 8 round mag anymore, so add one of my MD-20s to the total

Total with MD-20 $885

Interesting. I am not much for the practicality of a bi-pod on a shotgun, but you have clearly made it your own.

yeah, I thought it was a good idea at the time, for shooting slugs and stuff, but have come to find its not really practical. Ive since removed the top rail and Mako grip/bipod/light and just added a Angled Fore Grip. The Mako is currently not in use. perhaps on my m4 or something. I am trying to have something that doesnt look like anyone elses though.

Have you had any trouble cycling cheap low brass?

Out of curiosity, what do you use to sight the gun?

Stock sights are buried by the top rail...

I've just been using the iron sights. Before I removed the top rail it was alil difficult to aim when sooting clays, but the top rail wasn't being used for anything so I took it off for the time being and the iron sights are fully available and unobstructed. Before removal, I could still use them, just had to look through the top rail.

I went clay shooting last Tuesday with my bro and he brought the dreaded Winchester bulk pack, I had a few FTEs but just adjusted the gunfixers a slightbit and it worked fine. No FTEs with Fed Bulk Pack. Not one, ever. After all the mods anyway. CGW did warranty gas port enlargement work for me. Although, they said it should cycle fed bulk pack w/out gunfixers gp, but when I got it back it wouldn't, even with the stock forearm on. The guy who worked on it recommend Remmington. It'll shoot all day long with the gunfixers though. I did have to use my own alignment point though instead of the notch they provide, it wasn't lining up with the gas port correctly and was causing FTEs. After that I just did some polishing on the contact areas and it cycles brilliantly

That's great, just checking.

I had the UTG rail for the longest time and I could never cycle low brass even after GF plug, enlarging ports, and polishing the bolt.

I was told to take off the rails and it worked better than I've seen in any video, it was wonderful.

But basically, the UTG rail mounts by squeezing the gas tube, which is a big nono, I now know.

It should be more reliable with a different forearm, but if it doesn't cause any trouble, then by all means keep using it.

Thats what ive read alot on here. Thats quite a phenomenon to me. I do have the quadrial mount on there but not the quad rail itself due to lack of iron sight usage. Well if I do start to have trouble with fte again, that'll be the first thing I do is remove the mount.

One thing I noticed on here is that I didn't list the price I paid for my S12. Which from reading everyone elses prices I realize how bad I got bent over. I bought mine from a store front dealer and Paid $830.00. Kick myself in the ass quite abit for not doing research first. It was the second gun I had bought from them. I also bought an m4 which sells for $950 online and I paid $1450.00. So if anybody is looking to buy an S12 or m4 or any other gun and are fortunate enough to read this, know that you can get a way better deal online transferring it through a FFL dealer. my two 762s I had transferred for $35 each.

My S12- $830 store front dealer :ded::sadam::osama::killer:

evlblkwpnz's $562 shipping, and transfer fees :super:

RGVbadboy's $561 with tax and transfer :super:

rjrivero's $489 (Including shipping, Tax, FFL fee) :super:
