9945 0
I've heard these where once made (about 100) and available in the USA...wonder why this caliber didn't last long?....I'd love to have one. Anyone know where to get one?
timy 1,185
They may be still available for all I know. I would guess their low popularity was due to the fact they were set up strictly for hunting, with low capacity mags and extra plastic on the receiver. I'm fairly sure that more than a hundred were sold though. http://www.raacfirearms.com/Saiga_100.htm
Stansplace 414
I want one set up exactly like my .308. I would go pick it up or order right this very second if I could. It will take a very long time to shoot up all my 30. 06 with my bolt gun.
Bvamp 604
only 250 of these were brought in. the few I saw I didnt like, to be honest, one of the things being the push safety on it. plus, the reciever is wrapped in a plastic housing to pretty the thing up. You mean ugly it up! I think it is a good idea, but agree the aesthetics were like a cheap mutant bastard offspring of a Saiga and a Calico. + = That with the limited capacity (3 shots) meant no interest on my part. I would much rather go with a .308 or 7.62x54R (hint, hint) if looking for a distance shooter. Edited March 23, 2011 by BuffetDestroyer
inzami 36
Those show up on Gunbroker periodically, usually in 300's range. There's one .308 there right now.
scarbrough68289 76
Heard VEPR is going to have a 7.62 x 54R available soon. Guess they're importing them again. ATLANTIC had some info on them I believe.
BobAsh 582
Tony converted one, it came out really cool. But it was a ton of work due to the weird receiver; it got an angle cut on the back. I'm on my phone so I can't link the thread, but he made one showing the whole build.

Yes and I kick myself in the ass for not pawning, begging, borrowing, to buy that one of a kind Tromix build! I think he said something like "Never Again". Who has it? I know your still around. If I recall it went to a well respected member. I'll take it off your hands of course it's depreciated in value:lolol: Edited March 23, 2011 by AllJacks
