imstrbrightside 0
i will admit this was my first time shooting a shotgun/ shooting my shotgun. it worked better then i could dream. i shot everything from birdshot to buck shot to home defense with no FTE, not one glitch. got home and started to clean it and looked down the barrel and noticed one end(where the shell sits and waits to be fired it scored/scratched. scratches seem to stop 1/8th" before the gas port. i will remind you this is my first shot gun....should i be worried? im only used to pistols which this doesnt seem to happen with these pictured are looking down the barrel, if it was loaded, you would be looking at a crimped shell. saiga1284 1
Im no professional but it looks like lead usually left behind by slugs just scrub it down with some solvent and a brass brush.Or shoot some bulk ammo through it thats how i get it out.
csspecs 1,987
Looks like melted on plastic from the wads, or lead from the buck shot. Either way it should knock off with a brass brush.
evlblkwpnz 3,418
That only happens when you don't fire fast enough and when you don't fire enough rounds per session
Paulyski 2,227
Try Tipton Truly Remarkable Bore Solvent. It'll eat up wadding & lead fouling. Just don't get it on paint or polymer.

RABIDFOX50 6
Brass brush and elbow grease. Tornado works great too. A buddy of my uses it on a rod chucked to his cordless drill. He is done in 2 minutes. Nice shiny barrel.
